Sebastian Antero Aho is a Finnish professional ice hockey player in the Nation Hockey League. He was born on July 26, 1997, in Ruma, Finland, and serves as an alternative captain for the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL. Sebastian was among the top 20 European forward skaters to be selected in the 2015 NHL Entry draft. He was selected in the second round, 35th overall pick by the Hurricanes.

Sebastian made his NHL debut during the 2016-2017 season after his selection in the 2015 NHL Entry draft with the Carolina Hurricanes. After his selection, Sebastian signed a three-year contract with the Hurricanes and made his professional debut on October 13, 2016, in the opening game of the 2016-17 season.

He secured his first NHL point and recorded his first goal on November 12, 2016, and secured a victory over the Washington Capitals. He hit his first hat-trick against the Philadelphia Flyers. He became the youngest player in the Hurricanes franchise history to achieve this accomplishment.

In the 2018-2019 season, he set the record for the longest season-opening streak, one of his remarkable achievements. He earned at least one point in 12 games for the Hurricanes.

Sebastian was named for the 2019 NHL All-Star Game following his outstanding performance of contributing goals, assists, and points through 38 games. He recorded his second hat trick against the Nashville Predators. Sebastian also performed well during the playoffs; he contributed five goals and seven assists in the 2018-2019 season.
