Sidney Patrick Crosby is a professional Canadian ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. As of January 2025, he is playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins and also serves as their captain. He was drafted first overall in 2005 and earned numerous awards, including the Hart Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy. Crosby led the Penguins to three Stanley Cup victories (2009, 2016, 2017) and was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner for his playoff performances in consecutive years. As of 2025, Crosby is playing as a center and is the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
