Trevor John Zegras is an American professional ice hockey centre currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on March 20, 2001, Zagras was selected as the ninth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Growing up in New York, Zagras started his journey with the Mid Fairfield Rangers in bantam major hockey and later joined the Avon Old Farms school's Winged Beavers of the Founders League (USHS). During his time with the Beavers in the 2016-2027 season, Zegras scored an impressive record of 18 goals and 24 assists. In his second year with Avon Old Farms, he joined the USA Hockey National Team Development Program where he earned a place on the Top 40 tryout in the team.

Later he joined the US NTDP under-17 team for the 2017–18 season in the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he showcased his talent with impressive scores. Zegras was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft but he decided to play in the NCAA Division I ice hockey for Boston University. Zegras concluded his collegiate career in 2020, signing an entry-level contract with the Ducks after that. Zegras initially played for the American Hockey League to play for the San Diego Gulls in the 2020-2021 season. He made his professional NHL debut on February 5, 2021.
