David Pastrnak is enjoying a career-high season with the Boston Bruins. During a game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday, March 26, the 26-year-old netted two goals to take his season's goal tally to 51.
The two points on the night helped Pastrnak take his career points tally to 601. With this feat, he became the third-fastest player in the history of the Bruins to achieve the 600-point mark, which he did in 583 games.
Bobby Orr (461 games) and Ray Bourque (569 games) were the only players to reach the 600-point mark in fewer games for the Boston Bruins.
But that's not all. David Pastrnak also became the sixth player for the Bruins to score 50 goals in a single season. With this remarkable achievement, Pastrnak joins the Bruins elite with the likes of Phil Esposito, Cam Neely, Ken Hodge, Rick Middleton and Johnny Bucyk.
Making matters even better, the Bruins beat the Hurricanes 4-3.
