Jonathan Toews is one of the most popular Canadian players in the history of the NHL. He is the captain of the Chicago Blackhawks and has won the Stanley Cup three times (2010, 2013, and 2015). Toews is also one of the youngest captains in the NHL.

Jonathan Toews' successful NHL career
The Blackhawks selected Toews with the third overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He joined the team in 2007 and was nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year. He's the NHL’s youngest-ever captain after Sidney Crosby.
Jonathan Toews won the Stanley Cup in 2010, as well as the Conn Smythe Trophy for the most valuable player in the playoffs. He became the youngest player to join the Triple Gold Club after winning the cup, passing Peter Forsberg. He was able to win the Stanley Cup again in 2013 and 2015.
