The Detroit Red Wings have been hit with a major blow as their star center, Marco Kasper, suffered a serious injury that will keep him out of action for the foreseeable future. Kasper has been an integral part of the Red Wings lineup, contributing both offensively and defensively. His absence will undoubtedly be felt, but there are a few players that could potentially step up and fill the void.

Three players that could fill in for Marco Kasper in the Detroit Red Wings lineup

#1 Pius Suter

Pius Suter would be a good replacement for the Detroit Red Wings while Marco Kasper is injured due to his versatility and offensive capabilities. Suter had a solid rookie season with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring 14 goals and 13 assists in 55 games. Although he is yet to show the talent that he did in Chicago in Detroit, he can be a reliable contributor on both the power play and penalty kill, and has experience playing both center and wing.

Suter's ability to play a two-way game and contribute offensively could make him a good fit to replace Kaspar in the Red Wings lineup. Additionally, Suter is still young and has plenty of room to grow and develop his game, making him a potential long-term asset for the Red Wings.

#2 Jonatan Berggren

Jonatan Berggren would be a good replacement for the Detroit Red Wings while Marco Kasper is injured due to his high-end offensive talent and playmaking abilities. Berggren was a second-round pick of the Red Wings in 2018 and has been developing in Sweden's top league over the past few seasons.

Berggren's speed and puck skills would be a welcome addition to the Red Wings lineup. His ability to create scoring chances for himself and his teammates could help fill the void left by Kasper's absence. Additionally, Berggren is still only 22 years old. He has plenty of time to develop his game and reach his full potential, making him a promising long-term asset for the Red Wings in the NHL.

#3 Chase Pearson

Chase Pearson would be a good replacement for the Red Wings while Marco Kasper is injured due to his defensive abilities and work ethic. Pearson has been a reliable two-way center in the AHL over the past few seasons, showing that he can contribute offensively while also being responsible defensively. He is a strong skater and has a good size, which allows him to be effective in both the offensive and defensive zones.

Pearson's work ethic and attention to detail could make him a valuable asset to the Red Wings lineup, particularly on the penalty kill. While he may not have the same offensive upside as some of the other potential replacements, his ability to play a responsible two-way game could help fill the void left by Kasper's absence.
