A resounding 39-run win for Cluj to end the day. They are well and truly in this competition, as they topple the United Cricket Club in the points table to go to 3rd at the end of Day 3 of ECS Romania. 137 was always going to be an uphill task for ACCB, and the fact that their best batsmen failed to put up a fight of any sort killed off any hopes that they had. Asad Abbas fell in the first over, Abdul Asif replaced him and clubbed a few deliveries. It looked like we might have something to look at, but 5 balls in, he swung at a slot delivery, got a thick outside edge and was caught behind. Gohar Manan and Rajnish Ghai were unable to get going as well, and the ACCB ended up giving the game up at the halfway mark of the innings, more or less. They finish with 97 on the board, and will occupy the last spot in the points table for a little bit longer. They go up twice against table-toppers Banasea tomorrow, and as for their opponents today, they will be challenged by the United Cricket Club, from whom they clinched the 3rd spot today.
