A match we thought would be Melbourne's game all the way has turned into a nightmare for the the Melbourne Stars! After the first innings it looked like Maxwell and company would get them an easy win with the bat as they even changed their batting order and after the dropped chance by Fawad Ahmed, it looked like the batters were going to win this one with some absolute ease but little did they know that there was a storm coming their way!
The Adelaide Strikers took 4 wickets in absolutely no time which turned the entire match around and it looked like the batters were in some deep trouble, but surely something that they could get themselves out of for sure. The runs were not coming for the batters and things seemed a little dull for them until Cartwright stepped in with the bat and started hitting those big hits out of the park! Since the target was low, the Strikers were surely missing Rashid Khan's absence after the drinks break as there was absolutely no stopping him.
The Cartwright party eventually came to an end after 2 wickets came back to back on the other end which added some immense pressure on the batters and eventually the batters had no reply to the bowling attack of Thorton as he managed to get 4 wickets which is his career best which got them a one sided win out of nowhere!
Thank you so much for joining us for yet another exciting game of BBL! This is Dwijesh and Pranav signing off, until next time.
