Cricket, the great leveler, rears up with his head faced towards the Roma Bangla Morning Sun today. They pulled off a heist yesterday, but as it turns out, they were the ones on the wrong side of one today! Never at any stage, I repeat, never at any stage of the run-chase did it seem that the Asian Latina Cricket Club would be able to make a comeback in the contest until the final over. RBMS managed 145 in 9 overs chasing 157, but ended up pinching just the one run off the over that mattered the most.

Sharif Raihan and Anik Ahmed, two batters who weren't able to participate in the onslaughts yesterday, took it upon themselves to gun down a seemingly impossible target for most teams. 47 effortless runs came off the powerplay as the two merely warmed themselves up out there. Anik Ahmed was clearly the more aggressive of the two, meeting the ball well enough and treating both pace and spin with equal disdain.

It wasn't until the halfway mark that Raihan got in on the act as well, and with two overs remaining, a win for the Roma Bangla Morning Sun seemed a formality with all their wickets still in the bank. However, a tight penultimate over from Muneem Muhammad piqued some interest in the contest, and then, once Anik Ahmed holed out off the first ball of the final over, the match turned 180 degrees in favour of the Asian Latina CC! Onkar finished with 3 wickets to his name having floated the ball up with immense courage.
