That brings us to the end of this T10 contest. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding you goodbye. Goodnight! Cheers!
Misbah Ul Haq: I felt the last two balls in the previous over I should have got bat on ball. I was very disappointed. We knew that a new bowler had to bowl in the final. Well done to Carter. He just finished the game very well. He put pressure on the bowler after connecting the first two. It's always good to get back-to-back wins. With the tournament going towards the business these wins gives us confidence going into the knockout stages. He is doing it consistently. That was a crucial over from Sohail. It could have been so tight. 6-10 more runs would have been a different story. That was the performance which gave us the chance to win this game
New York Warriors won by 6 wickets (on the final delivery)
Jonathan Carter 41*(19) | Sohail Khan 4/15(2) Lendl Simmons 41(23) | Harmeet Singh 2/8(2)
What a finish. The New York Warriors continue their winning juggernaut, beating the Atlanta Riders for the 2nd time in two days. Jonathan Carter was absolutely brilliant. Just when it mattered, Carter and Misbah struck some massive blows which eventually helped them win the game in the final delivery. The Riders would have backed themselves to get their first win of the tournament, especially with 22 runs required off the final over.
Kamrul Islam bowled a series of slot deliveries and was dispatched for 4 sixes in that over. New York Warriors lost Kamran Akmal early but Tillekeratne Dilshan steadied the ship with a knock of 24 in just 14 deliveries. Richard Levi departed in an attempt to up the ante and the pressure was building for the Warriors. It was the partnership between Jonathan Carter and Shahid Afridi which brought them back on track.
However when Afridi departed the equation had turned and they needed some fireworks in the last couple of overs to get over the line. Misbah Ul Haq came in and smashed a couple of lusty blows before Carter finished it off with some massive sixes. He remained unbeaten on 41 off 19 deliveries and played a pivotal role in winning this.

9.6 Kamrul Islam to Jonathan Carter, SIX! Carter finishes it off in style. Right in the slot from Kamrul yet again, around the middle stump channel, the length was there for Carter to get under that. Swings through the line and comfortably deposits that well over the long-on fence.
9.5 Kamrul Islam to Jonathan Carter, SIX! That could the shot which seals the deal for the New York Warriors. Was a low full toss outside off, Carter stays in his crease and powers it down the ground, a flat batted swipe across the line and clears the long-on fielder. Some finish this. Just 1 required off the final delivery.
9.4 Kamrul Islam to Misbah Ul Haq, yorker-length delivery a shade outside off, jammed away towards the extra cover region for a single. 7 required off 2 deliveries.
9.3 Kamrul Islam to Misbah Ul Haq, SIX! That's a serious blow from Misbah Ul Haq. Gets outside the off-stump and exceptional follow through. Was in the slot outside off, Misbah launches it up in the air and comfortably clears the widish long-on fence. 8 required off the 3 deliveries.
9.3 Kamrul Islam to Misbah Ul Haq, that will be a wide. Misbah was moving around in the crease and Kamrul ends up bowling well wide outside off and that has to be reloaded.
9.2 Kamrul Islam to Jonathan Carter, on a goodish length outside off, Carter swings it across the line, gets it from the inside half of the bat down towards the widish long-on region and has to be content with a single.
9.1 Kamrul Islam to Jonathan Carter, SIX! Length delivery and that has been deposited just over the deep square leg fence. Hits the boundary cushions on the ball or was it slightly behind? Six has been signalled. A shade outside off and Carter picked that up very well and just about manages to clear the fence.
Kamrul Islam, right-arm medium-fast comes into the attack for the final over.

8.6 Mohammad Irfan to Misbah Ul Haq, on a good-length angling across Misbah. He again swings through but doesn't make any contact. 22 runs required off the final over.
8.5 Mohammad Irfan to Misbah Ul Haq, quickish yorker-length delivery outside off, Misbah tries to carve it away past point but ends up going under his bat.
8.4 Mohammad Irfan to Misbah Ul Haq, SIX! That's a massive blow from Misbah. That was right in the slot from Irfan, a shade outside off. Misbah disdainfully whips it away from his presence and deposits that well over the deep midwicket fence. That was a shot and a half.
8.3 Mohammad Irfan to Jonathan Carter, a good-length delivery angling into Carter, skids off the surface and strikes Carter on the front leg. Takes a leg bye single.
8.2 Mohammad Irfan to Misbah Ul Haq, Dropped! That was a difficult chance which goes begging. Fuller a shade outside off, sliced away by Misbah off the outer half of the bat and has enough time to take a single.
8.1 Mohammad Irfan to Misbah Ul Haq, that's nicely bowled by Irfan. Misbah backs away a bit too much and Irfan bowls it full outside off, well within the tramline as Misbah had made a lot of room.
