Steve Smith (Australia captain) : Yeah, it was a nice finish. Challenging start to the game they bowled well in the right areas on what was tricky surface. Our late middle order did really well to pull us out of that situation. Short, Hardie and Abbott had all scored useful runs to get that total. We thought 250 was par, and we did perform with ball. Fraser enjoyed himself in the first few balls that he was out there, we have seen that he like to go about his business in that fashion. It was also heartening to see Sutherland do well, he has always been a handful with the ball so we have had a couple of good debuts which will please one and all. (On aiming for a 3-0 whitewash) Canberra is a nice place to play, there are better wickets up there so it might as well be a higher scoring match than what we have seen so far.

Shai Hope (West Indies captain): (How much West Indies would've loved Australia to roll over) Hopefully 95, I thought we stuck to our guns, been very critical, tried to find way to roll them over and must commend the bowlers, they gave us a chance to win the game. It wasn't too much, it was a challenging wicket, Aussies bowled in the right areas, we need to find ways to score and put the opposition under pressure, batters didn't raise their hands today. We have to win the next game.

Sean Abbott is the Player of the Match for his all-round performance! Here's what he has to say: The situation sort of find myself in, we had to be quiet, risk free at the start and the wicket it was, we thought 220 would be competitive. The bowlers that around me, they are very good and it's a competition, to be honest it's a very good group to be part of and there are periods you don't play that I go through, but it's a good environment and enjoy being part of it. I love getting out there, playing in front of home crowd, friends and families. Just the one game in the World Cup, but allowed myself to work in nets and bring that training back home, it's been absolute pleasure.

The World Champions continue their dominance. They struggled with their batting until Sean Abbott pulled off a rescuing act. 19 wins out of the last 21 ODIs here in Australia for the hosts. West Indies fans always thought they let the Aussies off the hook when they were allowed to reach 258 after restricting them to 167/7. The batters have let them down in both matches so far. It has been a disappointing effort mainly with the amount of dot balls that just piles up the pressure for the rest of the line-up to follow.

There is no denying that it was not the easiest thing to score runs in this topsy-turvy SCG surface but the challenge called for better application from the Caribbean batters. Steve Smith rotated his bowlers with great distinction and effectiveness. Other than Hazlewood, all other bowlers had an economy of less than 4 runs, before Oshane Thomas struck Sean Abbott for a four in his final ball of the spell. The runs came at a premium. It was truly a scarcity.

Adam Zampa conceded his first boundary of the day in his 8th over which really indicated how successful he was in putting a lid on the scoring for West Indies who never looked at ease after their openers departed for another cheap score. This has been a celebration for the Big Bash top performers in Will Sutherland and Aaron Hardie who stepped up their game and showed how tough it can be to score in these conditions. Their Test match lines and lengths worked wonders as the West Indies batters had to grind for every run out there.

It did not help that Shai Hope got one that stayed down after he was just building his knock, eventually getting dismissed for 29 runs from 65 balls and that left a lot of heavy lifting to be done by the middle and lower order. Keacy Carty has faced 159 balls across both innings but it was simply not enough. The West Indies needed someone who could hold it all together, with even Roston Chase getting to 25 but no one threatened for long enough that could pose questions to Smith and his men. In the end, it is a well deserved series win for the home side.

Hotspot has nothing on it. Snicko shows day light gap between bat and ball. Ball tracking confirms THREE REDS and that is that. Australia seal the series, 2-0 with a game to spare. Lots to ponder for West Indies with the way they went about their run chase.
