Some exceptional hitting in the last three overs wasn’t enough as the South Castries Lions bowlers held their nerves and ended up winning the 27th contest of the St Lucia T 10 Blast by runs. A brisk start was the order of the day for the Leatherbacks but it was nowhere close to what they wanted, chasing 123.

The opening duo played a few impressive shots but couldn’t quite score at the rate which was needed and ended up putting pressure on the batters coming in. The required rate kept climbing at an alarming rate as they kept falling down the barrel and the equation eventually went out of hand.

Shervon Joseph and Alex Joseph batted superbly and played out the remainder of the overs but couldn’t quite get their side over the finish line. Both Josephs batted well, smashing some brilliant shots. Shervon remained unbeaten on 57 off 27 deliveries which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. In the end, the target was way too much and the win will be sweet for the South Castries Lions.
