Match summary:
Brescia CC win by 8 wickets with two overs to spare
Imad Khan 43 (12) | Javed Muhammad 2/21 (2) Azam Khalil 50(29) | Noman Ali 1/15 (2)
As it turns out, Imad Khan made the chase look a whole lot easier than what it seemed before his arrival at the crease. The Friends XI bowlers had a bit of control over proceedings in those middle overs - there was the odd-boundary each over, but their bowlers came back well over the course of them with some variations in length. But once Imad Khan was properly in, clubbing everything in his radar - both right and left-handed, the game was always going to slip away from Friends XI.
Rizwan Mohammad set the tone early on with a quick-fire 5-ball 22 before holing out off Sarbjit Singh. Muhammad Mashal and Sajid Afridi found the boundaries every now and then, and thanks to the fact that they were able to stitch a stable partnership, Brescia CC were in the game. The situation eventually panned out perfectly for Imad Khan - he came in and blew the Friends XI attack away.
And so, we have our first semi-finalist in this year's ECS Brescia. Brescia CC will take a lot of momentum going into that - barring their catching, this was the perfect game for them.
