Update: The match has been called-off due to rain. Cyprus and Greece will share points. The rain has washed off the second match of this tournament so far. Not the way they would have liked but Cyprus have their first points on the board.

Cyprus will be the unhappier side among the two. They put up the best batting performance in the tournament and looked up for the fight. They started really well with all of the top-four getting starts and using a bit of lady luck to push the score forward before losing a bit of steam at the end.

Greece did have the batting power to chase 105 but it could have been a tricky chase in conditions favorable for bowlers. Unfortunately, rain started pelting down just before the second innings and we only saw two balls in the chase, that too both wides as Ahmad failed to get his run-up right in difficult conditions.

Okay so everyone's walking off. The rain has gotten very, very heavy. The covers are coming on. Umpires and match officials are helping the work too. Let's hope it's just a passing shower.

Cyprus had an innings like a race car which ran out of gas just before the finish line and had to be pushed across. Mazumder and Deol provided a good start, despite edging almost every boundary they hit. Greece were slightly unlucky but more sloppy in the field in the powerplay.

Both openers fell in back-to-back overs to Arslan and Vasilakis but Ahmad and Lovedeep kept the momentum going by stretching the luck even more and hitting a lot of cross-batted slogs. Asrar, one of the major targets of the assault, ended his spell by getting Ahmad out an Lovedeep finally ran out of his luck against Galanis' excellent leg-breaks.

Two new batters allowed Galanis to attack a bit more in the ninth before Arslan kept the batters quiet in the last over as well. At one stage Cyprus looked like they can get 150 but this is their best effort in the tournament so far. Expect them to put bodies on the line to chase this down.
