That concludes our coverage of this match. We will be back with plenty of T20 cricket tomorrow, so do keep an eye on our tabs. For now, this is Rajarshi, signing off on behalf of myself and Mohul. Good night!
James Vince, Gulf Giants captain and Player Of The Match: The game played out much different to yesterday, when we got on top with the ball. They obviously put us under some pressure. They got off to a really good start and then we managed to pull it back really well. At one stage it looked like they were going to get 200 plus, but we bowled well in the last 12 overs, took key wickets at crucial times, I thought 180 on that pitch with those dimensions of the ground was probably about par, credit to the bowlers for the way they pulled it back. (On how to structure an innings in a run-chase) Probably not start off with a maiden (chuckles) I thought Rehan played a lovely little cameo, got the run rate up straight away. I struggled with my timing early on, but Gerhard Erasmus was around me, he played a really good knock. As the innings progressed, I managed to find the boundary a bit more often. I think, particularly after the first four or five overs, the ball seems to be calming down a bit, and boundaries are easier to come. So, even if the bowlers bowl well up front, got to respect that, knowing you can catch up later on. Without those cameos around me, I would have had to play some high-risk shots earlier on. Cricket's a funny game - Sanchit was player of the match yesterday, he came up against some quality players and was put on the back foot today. He'll learn from that. It's a great platform for the players of the associate nations to show the world what they can do. New competition, new franchise, we've been looked after nicely. We've got off to a good start, its only a start, rest and recover and then we go hard at the next match.
James Vince is the Player Of The Match
Rovman Powell, captain of Dubai Capitals: It's always good to have someone at the top of the order score a half-century or more (when asked about Robin Uthappa.) I was batting well but unfortunately, could not carry it on. They bowled really well, with Wiese and Jordan at the back end. I think our guys bowled well too; it was a good wicket, to be honest, but things did not go our way. The pitch was good and the outfield was nice as well. Fantastic facilities here, it gives everyone an equal chance.
Match summary: Gulf Giants won the toss and opted to bowl
Dubai Capitals 182/8 (20 Overs) Robin Uthappa 79(46) | Rehan Ahmed 3/28 (4)
Gulf Giants 183/4 (19 Overs) James Vince 83*(56) | Mujeeb Ur Rahman 2/36 (4)
Gulf Giants win by 6 wickets with 6 balls to spare
The English opening pair of James Vince and Rehan Ahmed started off the run chase in rather contrasting fashion. While Vince played out a maiden from Udana in the first over, playing and missing several deliveries, Rehan Ahmed went hard at the bowling from the get-go, performing his role of pinch-hitting to perfection. One over from Mujeeb turned the tide rather dramatically, after the Afghan spinner bamboozled both Rehan and Ollie Pope with his wrong-uns.
Vince was then joined by Gerhard Erasmus, and the duo set about with the re-build. They weren't taking too many risks in the middle overs, playing out Mujeeb and Sikandar Raza safely while latching onto the bad balls. Erasmus got going once Dasun Shanaka came in with his dibbly dobbly medium pacers; the Namibian got under a couple of them, deposited them into the stands, and the Giants had some impetus going into the halfway stage.
Vince and Erasmus then proceeded to shift onto cruise control, often finding bad deliveries to punish. The required rate came down to almost six an over when Erasmus had to depart in rather comical circumstances. James Vince then took over the responsibility, and brought it down to under six an over. Despite the loss of Hetmyer, the Giants weren't too flustered, and David Wiese accompanied Vince as the duo got the Giants home with time to spare.
That is that! James Vince's ploy to chase has panned out really well, and the skipper himself has had a major say in it! The Gulf Giants take the game by 6 wickets with an over remaining!

18.6 Isuru Udana to David Wiese, THE GIANTS WIN! Wiese works this delivery towards deep midwicket and scampers through for a brace to make sure that the Giants get two wins in two games! This will make them extremely proud of their effort!
18.5 Isuru Udana to James Vince, full outside off with a tinge of width, Vince drills it out towards long on for a run.
18.4 Isuru Udana to David Wiese, fullish outside off, Wiese digs it out and manages to drill it towards deep cover for a run.
18.3 Isuru Udana to David Wiese, FOUR! TIMES IT THROUGH THE COVERS! Slower delivery outside off, pitched up, Wiese leans forward, brings his feet towards the ball and drives it through the covers for a boundary! That was exquisite.
18.2 Isuru Udana to David Wiese, OUT? LBW given! Fullish on middle and leg, Wiese tries to flick it away without moving his feet too much and gets rapped flush on the pads. Big appeal from Udana and the finger goes up from the umpire. Wiese takes the review. The replays seem to suggest that the ball had pitched outside leg, and the batter is SAFE!
18.1 Isuru Udana to James Vince, full outside off with a tinge of width, Vince drills it out towards cover for a run.
Isuru Udana (3-1-27-0) is back into the attack
Hetmyer didn't really need to go for that big slog, with Vince in such imperious form at that. They have shortened the target down to single figures, and unless the Capitals pull off something special, the Giants are taking the game with ease.

17.6 Rovman Powell to David Wiese, full on off and middle, Wiese stands tall and pats it back to the bowler for a dot.
17.5 Rovman Powell to James Vince, short of a length outside off, Vince pulls it away towards deep midwicket for a run.
17.4 Rovman Powell to James Vince, full outside off, Vince flicks it away towards deep square leg yet again and manages to grab a couple taking Isuru Udana on!
17.3 Rovman Powell to James Vince, fullish outside off, slow on the uptake as Vince wrists it away across the line towards deep square leg and scampers through for a couple!
