We expected a comfortable chase for the reigning champions and we got it! Berlin Cricket Academy, after a slightly iffy first over, got back on track in the second innings and knocked the runs off inside 7 overs to get their campaign off and running.

A solid partnership for the 2nd wicket between Shubham Patil and Sandan Chintanippu took care of everything. Chintanippu was handed a couple of lives along the way, but, he made sure to make the most of both those by striking at over 185. Patil stayed not out and himself went at a strike rate of over 194.

Quite interestingly, Munireddy Singana, who bowled a good first over for Elbe Tigers, did not bowl again. Danil Israr was the other wicket taker for them but they need to improve on a lot of areas to get a bag full of wins in this competition.
