A performance that Emirates Red will be might proud of. Across departments, they were clearly the better side and they have turned in a clinical display to register their third win of the tournament, on the back of a solid total of 121 that they posted having been asked to bat first.

Ajman had a task on hand and had to start well. They didn't just start well though, but they began in terrific fashion with Sagar Kalyan tearing into Wasim Akram for four consecutive boundaries in the opening over. Despite his wicket in the next over thanks to an outstanding catch by Ahaan Fernandes, Abdul Shakoor and Rahul Chopra continued to pick out the fence at will as 44 runs were racked up off the first three overs with the floating powerplay also taken and used to great effect.

A couple of tight overs was what the Reds were after and they got them, eventually leading to Chopra's wicket as a false stroke was induced. There was still no stopping Shakoor and Harshit Kaushik as they never let the asking rate escalate to a number that would have made it difficult to scale. With 40 runs required off the last three overs though, things began to get tricky with Uzair Haider doing his bit to send down a decent over, even as Kaushik was given a lifeline.

But then came the over that turned the game completely in favor of the Reds. The star with the bat and the man who got past Kalyan early on, Clint Berkenshaw defied Ajman by nipping Shakoor in the bud and sending down a five-run over that complicated matters for the batters. Once Muhammad Usman was castled in the last over, the writing was on the wall despite a couple of big hits thereafter which just proved to be too late as Ajman fell short in the end. They've now lost three out of four matches and need a desperate turnaround in fortunes while the Reds will hope this is where they start to garner solid momentum for the rest of their campaign. Too little, too late from Harshit Kaushik who has given everything out there but alas, in vain. Fantastic bowling towards the end by the Reds and they make it three wins now out of five for the season!
