Shoaib Malik turned out to be the hero for Barishal in this game and ended up taking them over the line in the last over. To be fair, Dasun Shanaka was a rather poor choice from Anamul Haque to go to for the final over, and he ended up conceding eighteen runs by the fourth ball itself.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz too played a scintillating knock to bring some momentum into the Barishal innings, and Malik put the finishing touches to it. Khulna will be extremely disappointed with this loss given that they were leading it for most parts. This is also their first loss of the tournament.
