Aji was out in the penultimate over and just too many runs were needed for Gozo to pull it off. AUM with that managed to get another comfortable win and extended their lead at the top in group B. Gozo continues to remain fourth on the ladder!

After Jerin was dismissed the rain poured down in Malta but the umpires continued with the game. However, the boundaries were dried up for Gozo since Jerin's departure. Raj and Aji took their time but started to find the boundaries a little too late.

Jerin single-handedly kept the score moving for Gozo and kept the hopes alive for his side. Sajan, the other opener, in trying to break the shackles for himself lost his wicket cheaply. Later on, Jerin finally was taken out as well as he went for a wild hoick but was stumped.

Coming in to chase 104, Gozo did not have the best of starts as they lost their opener in the first over of the chase itself. Jerin the new batter in managed to find a boundary and got the scoring going for a bit for his side. However, their batters continued to struggle overall.

A comfortable victory for the American University of Malta as they prove to be too good for Gozo. Gozo did well given that they have struggled with the bat a lot in the past. Only if they had managed to contain Varun early on, the outcome could have been different here.
