What an amazing victory for the Southern Crusaders here! They've cruised to victory as the Zalmi have once again put up a below par batting effort. They struggled right from the word go and lost wickets at regular intervals. Paulson tried hard in the middle overs, but once he was gone their middle order collapsed under pressure. Towards the end, Indika Perera and Bhuwan Aryal smashed some big blows to save the blushes but it was already too late by then.

The Crusaders bowlers were excellent up front and they picked up wickets at regular intervals to rattle the Zalmi. Once the spinners were introduced into the attack, they choked the flow of runs and ran through the Gozo middle order. Together Mahabub and Jojo gave away just 15 runs from their three overs and got 3 wickets. Lakshitha was consistent as usual up front while skipper Michael Goonetillake had an off day with the ball as he was taken to the cleaners. However the game was won by then and no damage was done.
