A big and clinical win for GGV. They won half of the game by scoring an unbelievable 99 in the first innings. VSK started the second innings well, plundering a good few runs in the first over without losing any wickets. Skipper Santhirakumaran tried to hold the innings from one end too.

However, Amir struck in the second over when they were starting to tee off and from then, the rest of the bowling lineup was extremely clinical, building constant dot balls. Their fielders helped them out well too. At the end, VSK required 37 runs in the last over which they were never going to make.
