A fine innings of the highest order from Heinrich Klaasen and he's given his team management a happy selection headache. Things continue to look brighter by the day for South Africa with the T20 World Cup looming later this year. They're just a win away from sowing up this series in their favor as well and as far as India are concerned, they've got some serious thinking to do with regards to their bowling in particular.

Heinrich Klaasen (who else?) is the Player of the Match for his stupendous 46-ball 81-run assault. Hear what he has to say: (When did he know he'll be playing?) Quinny (de Kock) came up to me a few nights ago and told me that he injured himself. He's a strong character and I thought he'd come up well but yesterday morning he said he wasn't up to it. It (Keeping) gives you an indication (about the surface) but it doesn't make it easier. It was moving around with the new ball. (On his liking to India) I don't know but I'm glad it happened again against India. That (Centurion knock in 2018) put me on the map in international cricket and hopefully this one does too. I haven't performed well over the last couple of years in international cricket and I'm very honoured and happy to be here. Some people have been gunning for my head but the support staff have been backing me all along. A special thanks to them.

Temba Bavuma (South African Captain): (On the chase) It was a tricky chase. They bowled very well upfront led by Bhuvneshwar who got the ball to swing. It was tricky and for me, it was to hold it from one side and allow Klaasen to do what he did. It was tricky but great to get over the line. We really needed someone to take it deep. That's the role I play in the team. I guess the next game's another opportunity and I can take the learning into it from this. We were confident - we knew it wasn't going to be an easy chase and the wicket was tricky. We knew that we had to be clinical and execute our plans. (On having Klaasen ahead of Miller at 5) We can use David at 5 or 6 and him being a left-hander helps at the end. For us it was just about getting the confidence around the guys whether they come in at 5 or 6. Klaasen adds a lot of value to our batting unit.

Rishabh Pant (Indian Captain): Batting wise, we were probably 10-15 short. But the way we started bowling - Bhuvi and the fast bowlers bowled really well. We fell short in the second half - we didn't bowl to plan and it got away. (Chat at the halfway mark) We thought we have to start well and the bowlers started really well. After the 10th over we needed wickets in the middle which we didn't get and they batted really well. The spinners had to bowl 4-5 overs. We could have done better but we'll look to do better next time. We'll look to win the last three matches.

David Miller: To be honest, it was a great win. It was a bit of a tricky wicket. They bowled really well up front. Klaasen's knock was one of the best I have seen. It made things easier for us at the back end. I think it was about playing your game. You can't worry about the wicket. It does come into your game a little and it was all about playing straight. Some balls were coming through nicely but good that we managed to finish it. The coach and captain's decision (on the batting order). It was nice for him to come in and play that kind of knock. It was to hold me back for the final 10 overs but happen he (Klaasen) proved me wrong. It is tough playing in India and we have a lot of hard work left to do. Being 2-0 up is great and we are on the right track.

38/3 - that's what the South African score read at the end of the 8th over after Bhuvneshwar Kumar ripped the top-order to shreds. Temba Bavuma was ticking along nicely on a difficult track with the ball keeping low on many an instance, but the game was in India's control at that stage. Pit that against the end result - South Africa romped home with 10 deliveries to spare - and it tells you that a lot of things went wrong for India.

The bowling changes left a lot to be desired - Axar Patel was delayed for some reason, Hardik Pandya was used at absurd instances post the halfway mark of the innings and Bhuvneshwar, for all his exploits in the Powerplay, didn't return until South Africa were just 5 runs away from sealing the contest. And it didn't help India that Yuzvendra Chahal had a shocker of an outing where he dished plenty of them in the slot while dragging it short on other occasions.

That said, this game will be remembered for the mastery of Heinrich Klaasen. Somebody had to take down spin and he obliged - by using all of his expertise against that style of bowling to great effect as the bowlers were sent into hiding. Not one of them had a clue as to how to stop him thereafter, as the wicket-keeper batter, in the side for an injured Quinton de Kock, carted them all around (and over) the park.

India certainly made a match out of 148 to start with but yet again, they've been left ruing what could have been. This loss will hurt more than the last defeat, and the question marks over their T20 outfit have only increased further. Oh, and a shoutout to Temba Bavuma - amidst the carnage of wickets around him in the Powerplay, he sure held his own to great effect alright. That, in many ways, allowed Klaasen to tear into the Indian attack.

A comprehensive victory yet again! It wasn't as easy as the end result makes it look, mind you, but the visitors have buried the hosts under an avalanche again. South Africa beat India by 4 wickets with 10 deliveries to spare!
