Thanks a lot for joining us here today. Scotland played out an absolute thriller against their bitter foes Ireland. This is Mohul Bhowmick signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Karthik Raj and Sooryanarayan Sesha. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Until next time, ciao!
Richie Berrington, Scotland captain: Elated to get over the line. Exceptional performance by Leask to see us home. It's always a big occasion whenever Scotland play Ireland. We've had a good couple of weeks coming into this game. We have a good group of players and staff. We will look to build on this and take it forward into the competition. Delighted that we won; such games always keep you on the edge of your seat. Brandon McMullen was exceptional for us today. He wasn't feeling well for some time but managed to come back on the field and pick up another couple of wickets. This just shows his character. Thanks to all the people who have come down to support us here.
Andy Balbirnie, Ireland captain: Disappointed to end up on the losing side, but I thought the boys did well. The seamers put in a good shift, and I could not have asked anything more from them. Curtis Campher was brilliant both with the bat and ball in hand. He came in for Graham Hume and showcased his potential. It is a good learning experience, albeit a bitter one.
Michael Leask: Don't think I can put it into words. This badge means so much to me. To hit the winning runs is so special. Watty, Saffy were amazing. (About Watt)He is a fantastic performer and we have had some great partnerships before. We have got a great bunch of lads and this is just the start of the journey. (Regarding McMullen's performance) He is a fantastic performer and we have seen it so much at home. Great to see him do that on the world stage
Match over!
Scotland beat Ireland by 2 wickets!
Curtis Campher 120 (108) | Brandon McMullen 5/34 Michael Leask 91* (61) | George Dockrell 2/34
Michael Leask, remember the name! After Pat Cummins yesterday, we saw another late-order batter single-handedly winning the game for his team by chasing an unlikely target down. In the end, it turned out to be much closer than Ireland would have thought it would be after they managed to 122-6 and 152-7 at one stage.
The unlikely duo of Mark Watt and Michael Leask managed to string a fabulous partnership together and gave a real scare to the Irish bowlers. Their fears were assuaged only after Watt got stumped by Tucker off Dockrell in the 46th.
Leask managed to strike a couple of big hits off Josh Little in the next over, but the game was all but done and in Ireland's pocket by then. Scotland did not have any reputed batter to assist Leask, and Saafyan Sharif could not really swing his bat as well as he would have wanted to.
Leask, eventually, turned out to be the hero that no one expected him to be. In many ways, he signified the typical Scottish character- to mind one's business and do the job needed of one without making a fuss. Ireland will be extremely disappointed with this result.
They have struggled to put wins on the board and this close result against their bitter foes Scotland will displease them thoroughly. The Scottish team, on the other hand, found an unlikely hero in Michael Leask, who struck a brilliant 91 not out to win this game for his country in the last over of this game.
There were phases wherein Scotland were nowhere in the game, but they managed to get through with one wicket in hand. This was one of the most unimaginable ways in which the Scots would have expected to pull off a victory over their bitter foes Ireland. You can bet that there will be fireworks in Edinburgh tonight!
Leask is the man for Scotland! Oh, incredible scenes here in Bulawayo! We have now seen two brilliant lower-order chases in consecutive days now. Pat Cummins yesterday, and Michael Leask today!

49.6 Mark Adair to Michael Leask, SCOTLAND DO IT! Full and wide of off, Leask moves across and tries to swing hard but he gets an inside-edge which goes past the keeper and reaches the fence. Michael Leask is the hero for Scotland. What a stunning one-wicket win for the Scots!
Brilliant running from Leask- he knew he had to get on strike somehow and he did that! 2 runs needed off the last ball. All three results- Ireland winning, Scotland winning and a tie- are possible now.
49.5 Mark Adair to Chris Sole, short and angling in, Sole backs away and lets the ball go to the keeper. The batters quickly get across for a bye!
Sheer gold! A DOT BALL HERE!
49.4 Mark Adair to Chris Sole, short outside-off, Sole tries to pull but he misses it. Massive dot ball!
Chris Sole, RHB, is the last batter to the crease.
Incredible scenes here! Scotland need 3 runs to win with the new batter coming in to take strike.
49.3 Mark Adair to Safyaan Sharif, WICKET! MORE DRAMA! Short outside-off, Sharif looks to pull but he gets a top-edge which is easily taken at short third. The new batsman will be on strike now!
Safyaan Sharif c Paul Stirling b Mark Adair 6 (9b 0x4 0x6)
3 needed off 4!
49.2 Mark Adair to Michael Leask, full and wide of off, Leask comes down the track and squeezes it to cover. Single taken
The misfield allows Leask to pick up a four! Surely, there is no way back for Ireland from here.
49.1 Mark Adair to Michael Leask, FOUR! Full on the stumps, Leask makes room and swings it along the ground to long-on where Tector comes around and lets the ball reach the fence for a boundary. What a massive moment!
Eight runs needed off the last over! Scotland will back themselves to do it. Leask is on strike as well. Adair needs to hold his nerve. It is always close whenever these two countries face-off against each other, no matter which sport.
