Kandy Warriors haven't got off to a good start with the bat as they lost an early wicket but once Ravi Bopara came in, he held the things together from one and made the scoreboard ticking. Warriors kept losing wickets at the other end until Angelo Perera, the captain, came in to set things right along with Ravi Bopara. Both played sensible cricket and didn't take any risk to take the match till the end. They managed to help their team cross the line and give some consolation win in the last few games remaining for them in the tournament.

Dambulla Giants have started off well as their lead spinner, Imran Tahir, gave them crucial breakthroughs at the start of the innings. They kept picking wickets at regular intervals until the captain of the opposition came to the crease. They failed to break the fifth wicket partnership and that really costed them the match. Given the assistance from wickets, their slower bowlers have done well for the larger part of the match but pace on the ball made things easy for the batters. Marchant de Lange didn't have a great outing in this game and that shows how tough it was for the Giants to hold things together in the final stages of the game.

Ravi Bopara has been adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant innings to steer his team home with 59 runs!

Ravi Bopara says, there are two ways you can chase such total, either do it within the 15 overs or bat till the end and take the team the home and I did just that. One more game to go, it's a must win game and we're keen to get to the semi-finals spot!

Kandy Warriors have just won their 2nd game of the tournament in 7 games played so far. They tournament hasn't gone as would have liked to but this must be a satisfying win for them. They do not have any chance of making it to the later stages of the tournament but will be looking to finish on a high with another win tomorrow in their final league game.
