That's it from me, Rajarshi, and my co-commentator Sooryanarayanan, as we complete our cricketing coverage for today. As always, we will be back with more tomorrow, starting with the ECS in the morning, the first Test between England and New Zealand in the afternoon, and the Netherlands-West Indies One Day International to end the day. Good night!
A required rate of 11 in a 20-over game isn't the best sight for a chasing team, but with a deck straight out of the dreams of the willow-wielders, a chase of 220 looked both possible and probable for Derbyshire. A quiet first over from Luke Wood was followed by a crafty display of utility of pace from the two openers, Shan Masood and Luis Reece. While Masood ended up shaking hands with Reece while the duo messed up a single, resulting in the Pakistan International being dismissed, Harry....Came in (pun intended) and tried to force the scoring. Pace on his bat was what he desired, so as soon as the spinners were introduced, the boundaries dried up, and Came had to depart trying to run down to a delivery that was pulled back by Livingstone and was swiftly stumped.
Derbyshire were dealt a body blow after Luis Reece, who reached his fifty and was looking good in the middle, holed out to Tim David. A reverse-sweep happy Leus du Plooy came in and found ways to find the fence frequently. But with the spinners tightening things up, du Plooy's ploy wasn't enough, the required rate was inching towards 20 in the slog overs. Brooke Guest gave Derbyshire a glimmer of hope by taking 18 out of the 19 off Tom Hartley's over, the 17th of the innings.
18 came off the 18th by Luke Wood, and Derbyshire were still in which a chance, even though they needed 3 runs-a-ball in the last couple of overs. But Richard Gleeson, who has been in some form with the ball, bowled a penultimate over that decided the game right then, and despite du Plooy and Guest's best efforts, Derbyshire ended up falling 18 short of the target.
And Lancashire take the game! The margin being 17 runs. Du Plooy and Guest tried their best, but the penultimate over, bowled by Richard Gleeson, killed the game off more or less.
The equation reads 30 off the last over.
An excellent 19th over from Richard Gleeson has all but sealed the game for Lancashire. Derbyshire are 190/4 and require 34 off the final over!
35 needed off 11, is what the score reads at the moment. Du Plooy has reached a half-century.
Well....with three overs left to the chase, the match being at a pivotal point, we have an issue with the stream. Stay tuned as we try and sort things out!
Du Plooy hasn't been able to force the scoring in the last few overs, his partner offers to do the job...guess what he might have said?
"Be my Guest."
And Brooke Guest complied duly! Two towering sixes and a boundary from the wicket keeper, and Derbyshire can believe for a little longer!

16.6 Tom Hartley to Brooke Guest, FOUR! BIG OVER! Quick and in the arc outside off, Guest stays a touch low and launches it powerfully over mid-off to pick his spot to perfection.
16.5 Tom Hartley to Brooke Guest, SAFE! Full and quick on off stump, swung towards wide long on without enough timing but it drops shy of the fielder running in. The batters charge back for the second and du Plooy makes his ground courtesy a dive!
16.4 Tom Hartley to Brooke Guest, darted into the leg stump on a very full length, Guest plays all around his flick as it thuds into his pad.
16.3 Tom Hartley to Brooke Guest, SIX MORE! Guest is on the charge now! Hartley pulls his length bat at quick pace but drags it too short to his liking. Guest rocks back and pummels it over the reach of David at deep mid-wicket for another half a dozen!
16.2 Tom Hartley to Brooke Guest, SIX! SMOKED! Full and in the arc on off-stump, Guest makes room and launches it straight as an arrow over the bowler's head. Watch out - there could be some damage caused to the balcony there!
16.1 Tom Hartley to Leus du Plooy, fired full at the stumps, du Plooy comes forward to work it with a flick off his wrists to deep mid-wicket. Just a single!
Tom Hartley (2-0-20-2) is back into the attack
Derbyshire are slowly catching up, but there's still a lot to be done. They desperately need a 20-run over.
