Vidarbha beat Maharashtra by 7 wickets with 13 balls to spare!
Vidarbha after winning the toss decided to bowl first and restricted Maharashtra to 157 for the loss of 8 wickets. Siddhes Wath and Atharva Taide opened the innings for Vidarbha. The start wasn't that ideal for Vidarbha as they lost Siddhesh Wath in the first over of the innings bowled by Mukesh Chowdhury. But it was the second wicket partnership when Wadkar joined Taide at no. 3 that changed the tone of the match and eventually the fate. The 96-run partnership was game-changing considering the target was 158. Both of them scored fifties at a healthy strike rate.
The highlights of this match won't showcase the importance of that partnership as it was majorly decorated with singles sneaked in the cover region, mid-wicket area and front of square and occasional doubles to pile up the agony for Maharashtra.
As far as the Maharashtra bowlers were concerned, they didn't have too many runs to play with and that at times hinders you from performing at your optimal level as anxiety kicks in after every boundary or a wide ball
Sunil Yadav and Ashay Palkar were expensive of the lot going away for a collective 75 runs in their 5.5 overs while Satyjeet Bachhav was the silver ling returning with match figures of 0-20 in 4 overs.

Sunil Yadav comes back into the attack
The Vidarbha batsmen have shown excellent match awareness and solidity in batting application. It has been a complete team effort so far and no single player carried them like Tripathi did for Maharashtra. Vidarbha are taking huge steps in building a match-winning team. It would be very tempting to finish the match pretty early but they need to be aware of the fact that there is no incentive in finishing the match early. You will still qualify if you win off the last ball as WINNING is important
