It is Gorkha 11 who walk away with a win, the margin being 17 runs! So, both the teams have won an encounter among themselves. After the loss of Imran Khan early on, it was Suman Ghimire and Muhammad Adnan who carried the entire innings, helping their team get to 122. The middle-overs in the Gorkha 11 innings witnessed some carnage, as this pair, took the Malo bowlers apart for 51 between overs 5 to 8. Malo did really well to stop the flow of runs, in the process picking up some wickets and restricting the total to a certain extent.
Malo's start with the bat looked rusty, with Saim Ali and Zulfiqar Shah taking time to get going. Unlike Ali, Shah was getting the boundaries, before a communication breakdown saw the two openers stranded in the middle, with wicket-keeper Suman Ghimire finding enough time to fumble the ball, gather it back, run to the stumps, and then take two tries to take one bail off. Najam Shahzad then walked in and tonked the ball a fair bit, keeping Malo in the hunt as Ali's struggle continued. Once Shahzad departed, it seemed like the game was done and dusted, but Amir Zaib then got in on the act, smashing 10 off his first two. Saim Ali's failure to both get going and give the strike to the set batter eventually cost Malo the game, with the task of chasing 30 off the last two overs proving to be a bit too much for Zaib.
