Montcada were banking heavily on Hamza Saleem Dar, but his dismissal after having scored 30 pushed them on the backfoot. However, the arrival of wicketkeeper batter Kashif Shafi to the crease ensured that all was not lost. Playing some exquisite shots, he took the game to the bowling side and made sure that they had to pay for the mistakes that they made.

Sabadell bowled really well and were on course for a big victory over Montcada, but the five penalty runs that they gave away for not adhering to the time limit gave them a late fright. However, the last over, bowled by Zeeshan Ashraf, turned things around completely. Needing six off the last ball, Asim Javeed holed out straight to the fielder at deep midwicket. This gave the lads from Sabadell a much-needed victory!
