Match Summary: MU Trakia beat MU Plovdiv by 13 runs.
A contest that is living proof of why you never rule any possibility out in a format like T10. MU Plovdiv were going absolutely nowhere in their chase halfway through it, despite having all their wickets intact. But they so nearly managed to pull off a heist of the highest order, only to fall short in the end after a solid batting display saw MU Trakia post 112 on the board first up.
Openers Mohammad Sufyan and Zain Asif were tied down completely in the powerplay as the bowlers kept it very simple and hit the perfect lengths to cut off the scoring shots. Both openers just couldn't get a move on no matter how hard they tried and despite the odd dropped chance also going in their favor, they weren't able to unshackle their way towards the target.
The required rate surged to an extent that the result almost seemed beyond doubt. Yet, things turned around considerably in the sixth over with Abbas Zaidi losing his radar and handing over the initiative. That was the story of the next three overs as Plovdiv raced along from 29/0 in five overs to 83/0 at the end of the eighth with a flurry of sixes as well as extras on the part of the bowlers, who bowled too many wides and beamers.
It was a different story thereafter that Sanchit Saini and Waleed Khan held their nerve in the last couple of overs to take their team home but things could have completely gone the other way some other day. Alas for Plovdiv, they fell short of scripting an incredible jailbreak and when they look back at this contest, they will rue not capitalizing on the powerplay with the bat, as well as the number of extras they conceded with the ball. Trakia too, conceded 16 extras but compare that with the corresponding number of 30 from Plovdiv and it tells you how big a difference it made. The result now takes Trakia level with Plovdiv on four points, even as they have an extra game in hand. While they will be looking to keep this going and generate some good momentum, Plovdiv will be desperate to put this behind them and bounce back sooner than later.
A wicket off the last ball! It's the skipper who gets one against his name and despite a late scare given to them, Trakia manage to hold on and wrap up a victory. The roars tell a story!

9.6 Waleed Khan to Zain Asif, WICKET! AND THAT WILL BE THAT! MU TRAKIA WIN! Full outside off-stump. Asif backs away a touch to thrash it over cover but all he manages is a feather of an outside edge through to the keeper!
Zain Asif c Zaid Soulat b Waleed Khan 44 (27b, 0x4, 5x6)
Alas, it's too little, too late from Asif's perspective.
9.5 Waleed Khan to Zain Asif, SIX! Slower ball on the good length. Asif steps out and hammers it over wide long-on for a maximum!
9.4 Waleed Khan to Mohammad Sufyan, full on the legs. Drilled down to long-on from deep in the crease for only one run.
9.3 Waleed Khan to Mohammad Sufyan, fuller outside off-stump. A big hoick from the back foot over mid-wicket but the connection was with fresh air only!
9.2 Waleed Khan to Zain Asif, fuller on the pads. Swung around hard but straight to deep mid-wicket for a single only.
9.1 Waleed Khan to Mohammad Sufyan, good length ball hurrying on to Sufyan. The pull shot gets missed but a leg-bye to point gets collected.
Waleed Khan [1.0-0-4-0] to bowl the final over of the game.
That last one was there to be hit in the slot really! But it's such a good over from Saini as he might have just tilted it back in Trakia's favor now. Of course, if Plovdiv pull this off, it'll be a story for the ages. What will unfold? MU Plovdiv require 23 runs to win off the final over!

8.5 Sanchit Saini to Zain Asif, full and slow on leg-stump. Swung around to deep backward square-leg for a well-judged couple of runs!
8.4 Sanchit Saini to Mohammad Sufyan, good length ball outside off-stump. Cracked away to long-off from the back foot for a single.
8.3 Sanchit Saini to Mohammad Sufyan, PUT DOWN! Fuller on off-and-middle. A mistimed hoick over mid-wicket. The fielder fails to get more than his fingertips on it and gives away two runs.
8.2 Sanchit Saini to Zain Asif, good length ball on off-stump. Spanked down to long-on from the back foot for a single.
8.1 Sanchit Saini to Zain Asif, good length ball outside off-stump. A swing through the line and a big miss! No run.
8.1 Sanchit Saini to Zain Asif, OH NO! WIDE down the leg-side here and the pressure is telling on the bowling side!
