The Dutch are the champions of the inaugural ECIW tournament as they thumped Italy Women by 62 runs and clinched the title. They were head and shoulders above the rest in all departments of the game right from the start. That one team, who challenged them in a league phase was Italy and they got a chance to face them in the big final.

The Dutch openers did the damage and helped the team to score a massive total on the board, and in reply, Italy couldn't get going and struggled to match the asking rate. Apart from their batting, the Dutch bowling was clinical too as they never allowed any batter to gather momentum and dictate proceedings in the middle. Italy Women dominated against the other two teams in the tournament but failed to live up to the expectation against the strong Dutch outfit

This tournament was a big learning curve for the aspiring Women's cricketers from these four countries and surely every team have a lot of positive takeaways in the past week. This could also be a stepping stone for many Women's matches in Europe in the future. The Dutch entered the tournament as a favourite and signed off with a title on their hands.
