Commentary

That'll be all from the fourth one-dayer - it feels weird to mention the term one-dayer when the game was in effect, a T20 encounter. It was a long wait but at the end of it all, the cricket we saw made it truly worth it. It's been a pleasure bringing the coverage of this game to you as always and we hope you enjoyed it just the same. Sophie Devine (White Ferns Captain): It was another complete performance from us. With the bat, we showed intent in a shortened game which is good experience for us ahead of the World Cup. The fielding is an area where we've missed a fair few runs off late. Saving another 10-15 runs will be a great point for us in the coming games. It's just about trying to find ways to adapt quicker. I've certainly had belief in this group forever really and it's great to see it all come together for us. It's great to see it just in time ahead of the World Cup.

Mithali Raj (India Captain): We definitely have been trying a few compositions with the seam and spin attack. To be very honest the bowling department is a concern ahead of the big event. We want all our main bowlers to get their rhythm. It's an open ground and with the breeze, there are spells where the bowlers have bowled well. We haven't been consistent enough though. (On Richa Ghosh) Looking at the shots and the way she went about her innings...she's a very talented and excited player for the future for India.

Amelia Kerr (Player of the match): It was an exciting one. Woke up in the morning with a bit of rain around, wondering if we're were going to get on to play a T20 match, which is always fun with this group. It was nice to post a big score on the board. Suzie and Sophie went out and Amy came to get off to a flyer, I think I just kind of continued from that. I have done a lot of work in the winter. A lot of work on my batting. I am training as hard as game situation. It's great to get four wins against a quality side and they have been very successful in the women's game. For us to come out with the bat, in an area we've struggled in recently is good for our confidence. To have that belief and confidence in our batting is massive heading into the World Cup.

India 128 all out in 17.5 overs (Richa Ghosh 52 off 29 balls, Mithali Raj 30 off 28 balls, Amelia Kerr 3-30 in 3.5 overs) lose to the White Ferns by 63 runs.

It was, but a foregone conclusion simply because of the steep zenith that the Indians had to scale. And to make matters worse, being reduced to 19/4 within no time was never going to help the Indians' cause. More so, when the wickets include that of Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana.

That said, the innings was not short of entertainment and pyrotechnics - enter Richa Ghosh! The teenage prodigy showed just why there's an air of excitement around her with an array of strokes all around the park. Power, intent and chutzpah personified, Ghosh smashed the record for the fastest ODI fifty in Indian women's cricket with an equal proportion of slog sweeps and inside out carves over extra cover.

While she was out there, India were in with a sniff of a chance and skipper Mithali Raj looked to up the ante as well. With the departure of both though, it was always headed towards the White Ferns with the rest of the wickets falling like ninepins.

In fact, the last four wickets fell in just six deliveries with Amelia Kerr, as if she hadn't done enough on the field and with the bat, finding herself on a hat-trick. Another dominating display from the White Ferns who are one step closer to a whitewash but more importantly, ahead of the marquee event which is the World Cup on these shores, they are striking the right chords at the right time, making the world sit up and take note.

As for India, they rung in a number of changes but there has been no change on the result front. They still have quite a bit of tidying up to do, especially with the ball and on the field. That said, the intent they've shown with the bat through the course of this series comes as a massive shot in the arm for the side ahead of the World Cup but they will be itching to salvage some pride and forge a win in the final one-dayer to head into the event with confidence and momentum.

There you go! Another beautiful wrong 'un from Amelia Kerr and it crashes right through the gap between bat and bat with Gayakwad having a swing across the line in vain. The White Ferns beat India by 63 runs to go 4-0 up in the series!
