Adil Rashid (player of the match, Northern Superchargers): We were a bit lucky, we got the runs and the rain came down 10 balls later. We have got a good squad, and have match-winners through and through. We have a bit of a waiting game tomorrow and are hoping to make it through.
Northern Superchargers beat London Spirit by 21 runs (DLS)
Northern Superchargers: 64/1 after 44 balls Matthew Short: 25(19b)* | Graham Clark: 26(13b) Matt Critchley: 1/11 (10 balls)
A damp squib this but then it is Superchargers who come out on top. They managed to scale down a good chunk of the total. Batting first, Matthew Short and Graham Clark got off to a good start and the duo added 47 runs for the first wicket. Ollie Robinson walked out to the middle and was going at a run a ball before rain came down hard and ensured no more cricket was to be played.
A poor bowling show from London Spirit, who end their tournament with only a win. Matt Critchley was the only bowler to pick up a wicket as the pacers were taken apart, with Olly Stone being the most expensive. Let's now go down to hear what the player of the match has to say.
8:50 PM local time,1:20 AM IST: And the inevitable has happened. The umpires shook hands and the match ended. Since Superchargers were ahead on DLS, they win this contest and will get the 2 points
8:38 PM local time, 1:08 AM IST: And the players are walking off. Should we not get any more play from here on, Norther Superchargers are leading by virtue of DLS and will be declared winners of this contest. 15 minutes of rain here should be enough to award the win to Superchargers

8.3 Ravi Bopara to Matthew Short, on a hard-length around middle, Bopara with those wobblers and that has been worked away towards the long on region for a single.

8.1 Ravi Bopara to Oliver George Robinson, slower delivery on a length a shade outside off, bunted away towards the cover fielder.
Ravi Bopara, right arm medium, comes into the attack and will be bowling to Matthew Short on strike
Liam Dawson makes corrections to his bowling after the last over and concedes only 3 runs in this set. He needs to continue bowling like this to keep the batters guessing what he will be bowling. And again, the rain is back, Northern Superchargers are ahead on DLS at the moment

Good help for Critchley here. The surface is aiding the slower bowlers and spin could play a huge role in this contest
