That's all from us then! We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this SA 20 game between Paarl Royals and the Joburg Super Kings. This is Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of my partner and co-commentator Soorya. See you soon!
David Miller, Paarl Royals Captain- We got off to a great start in the powerplay and were clinical in the back end so it was good to win with the bonus point. Lungi was more than happy to come in and bowl three on the trot. I backed our guys and they were well prepared to do their job. It's about trusting our instincts and executing our plans against the opposition. We didn't discuss much about the chase, since the guys in the side know their roles and did their job perfectly.
Bjorn Fortuin, Player of the Match- It was pretty special to put up that performance! We didn't have a good game in our first outing and the boys were really motivated to do better. Opening the bowling in the powerplay is high risk and low reward and I keep that in my mind. The wicket here has traditionally helped the bowlers and it was the same today.
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings captain): Disappointed with the start, that's stating the obvious. Not good to lose too many wickets in the powerplay. A bit surprised there was some nice pace in the wicket in the first innings. Lungi bowled beautifully. In the second innings, conditions were a bit slower but the score was way way below par. Assessing the wicket is the most important thing of any format but also the starts. Maybe we should give ourselves a little bit more time just to get an innings going. A pattern of losing too many wickets is also not a good thing to be doing. The shot selection today, there were a few soft dismissals. Not ideal for us but we have to do better in the batting department. (On him at 3 and not opening) It was something that was discussed a lot before the tournament. But maybe Janneman needs the opening spot more than I need it. Number 3 is something I've done probably the most out of the three personnel. It's something we scratched our head over long and hard for and it's something we'll go back to again.
Paarl Royals 82/3 in 10.3 overs Jos Buttler 29 not out(21) | Romario Shepherd 1/10 Wihan Lubbe 19(12) | George Garton 1/15
Right so, the Paarl Royals have cruised to a 7 wicket win here and it has been an emphatic performance from them. The bowlers had put them into a pole position to win this game and the batters came in and finished off the job. 82 was never going to be enough and Jos Buttler ensured that the Royals got there in quick time and won with the bonus point. He got good company from Wihan Lubbe who hit a few boundaries in an entertaining 19 run cameo. Skipper David Miller came in late and hit a massive six much to the joy of the local crowd here at Boland Park. In the end, it wa Buttler who quite fittingly ended the game with a four.
The Joburg bowlers tried their best but they just didn't have enough to fight with. George Garton got an early wicket as he dismissed fellow Englishman Jason Roy, but they failed to breakthrough at regular intervals and in the end it was all too easy for the Royals. Romario Shepherd and Aaron Phangiso too chipped in with a wicket apiece but it was a little too late for them.
The Paarl Royals have made a brilliant comeback in this tournament and they've turned things around in some style. They've won with the bonus point here and will be breathing a lot easy now. For the Super Kings, well they will have a lot to worry about as their batters have really cut a sorry figure. They will have to fix their problems with their top order and turn things around quickly.
Paarl Royals win by 7 wickets with 57 balls remaining!
10.3 Lewis Gregory to Jos Buttler, FOUR! GAME, SET AND MATCH! And in some style as well. An air of authority from Buttler, archetypal of the Royals' show all day. Back of a length delivery outside the off stump and he makes room to flat-bat it up and over mid-off. Picks out the fence on a couple of bounce and wraps things up with minimal fuss. Paarl Royals annihilate Joburg Super Kings by 7 wickets and pocket a bonus point to boot!
10.2 Lewis Gregory to Jos Buttler, AHH! Banged into the track outside the off stump. Wobbles back in and lobs over Buttler's attempted pull as Gregory takes pace off. The former fails to connect with his attempted fine swat
10.1 Lewis Gregory to David Miller, back of a length delivery outside the off stump. Miller hops back and steers it with control to deep cover for a run
Lewis Gregory, right arm medium, comes into the attack.
Phangiso did get a wicket in that over but it is just a little too late now for the Super Kings! The Royals just need 5 more to win and it's only a formality from here on.

9.6 Aaron Phangiso to Jos Buttler, OH! Not just yet! Good bowling by Phangiso as he sees Buttler steps down the pitch. Slows it onto a length on middle stump as Buttler adjusts to punch it to cover
9.5 Aaron Phangiso to David Miller, width offered on a back of a length radar. Miller sticks his bat out and steers it to sweeper cover. Can Buttler finish it in style now?
9.4 Aaron Phangiso to David Miller, SIX! KILLER MILLER IN THE HOUSE! Tossed up into the slot on middle and off stump and that is asking for trouble against this man. Miller clears his front leg and launches it handsomely over mid-wicket to bring up 9000 T20 runs in style!
9.3 Aaron Phangiso to David Miller, stays around the wicket and flights a full one across the off stump. Miller gets forward and drives to mid-off, no run
David Miller, LHB, comes to the crease.
SOUTH AFRICAN RUGBY LEGEND , captain and a hero of the 1995 Rugby World cup, Francois Piennar is there in the crowd.
9.2 Aaron Phangiso to Dane Vilas, HOLES OUT! Too little, too late though for the Super Kings! Steps down the track and shanks this full one flighted around the off stump up and over the inner ring looking to clear long on. Vilas doesn't get enough distance though as Shepherd moves to his left and sees it into his bucket-sized hands.
Dane Vilas c Romario Shepherd b Aaron Phangiso 13(13b 1x4 0x6)
9.1 Aaron Phangiso to Dane Vilas, SAFE! Flighted full around the off stump as Vilas fetches a slog sweep across the line. Falls safe and wide of deep mid-wicket as the batters run two
Lizaad Williams has had a really tough outing with the ball as the Paarl Royals batters have attacked him today. It was an expensive over as 11 runs came of it in the end. It's time for the Strategic Time-Out and it's a much needed one for the Joburg Super Kings.
