That is it from the action at SA20 today. We are down to three teams and two of them, DSG and JSK, will be taking on each other in the second qualifier tomorrow at the same venue, Wanderers. Make sure you join us for that! For now, this is Sourabh Agrawal and Mohul Bhowmick bidding you goodbye. Goodnight!
Sam Cook (Player of the match) - Really pleased to get into the team and to pick some wickets. Hopefully come out again tomorrow and repeat the same. Back in English conditions, I have really grown up trying to swing the ball. It is different here, trying to get used to the lengths and it did come out well today. It was really special, have never really bowled to Jos(Buttler) and that was a key wicket. Nandre was brilliant as well and he deserved more wickets. We really killed the game in the powerplay and that was very important. It is nice to see the carry to the keeper, sometimes it doesn't carry back home (in England). Really enjoyed it.
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings captain) - Who doesn't like an underdog tag? It just feels like things are falling into place for us, Batters and bowlers have got the form back and more importantly the confidence back. Confidence is really a key thing. I have played with Imran Tahir for 12 years and this is the best he has fielded. That was an under-par score and we really thought that we could restrict them under 160. But really, 180 was a par on this surface. We are really excited and the boys are really hungry to go back-to-back even though it will be tough. Hopefully we rock up fresh tomorrow and do well again.
David Miller (Paarl Royals captain) - It was obviously a disappointing game. We are not pleased at all with the result. It was just one of those things. I think we should have done much better with the bat. In the key moments, we didn't quite pitch up. In 3 or 4 overs, we let go of the momentum we had. Games come thick and fast in this tournament and you have to learn on the go.
Joburg Super Kings won by 9 wickets Leus du Plooy 68(43) | Sam Cook 4/24(3.5) David Miller 47(40) | Tabraiz Shamsi 1/43(4)
JSK have stormed home and they absolutely hammered Paarl Royals on their way. Paarl Royals have lost their last 5 matches and have been knocked out the competition.
Right from the moment they won the toss, it has been JSK all the way throughout the night. 139 was never going to be enough on this belter of a pitch at Wanderers. The JSK openers came out and made absolute light work of this chase which was only going one way. du Plooy and du Plessis stitched a brilliant 105-run partnership before the former got out on 68. The skipper stayed till the end as he hit the winning runs after getting a superb half-century for himself. The Paarl Royals, were equally, if not more disappointing with the ball as they were with the bat. There were misfields, no-balls, wides, dropped catches and what not!
But really, it was the batting of Paarl Royals which has cost them this game. They had a good opportunity to put up a big score on the board first up but they were left tottering at 43-4 within the first 6 overs itself. JSK bowlers were exceptional throughout their bowling innings as they folded up Royals for a paltry 138. Sam Cook was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets while Burger and Tahir got 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
Presentations coming up shortly!
Joburg Super Kings have demolished Paarl Royals and have made their way into the second qualifier where they will face Durban Super Giants.
13.2 Cody Yusuf to Faf du Plessis, short of a length on middle and leg. Du Plessis glances it to square leg and takes a single. JOBURG WIN THIS GAME!
13.1 Cody Yusuf to Faf du Plessis, FOUR! At a length on off and middle. Du Plessis stands tall and chips it up and over mid on for a boundary! That was well played. Just one run needed now.
Codi Yusuf [2.0-0-27-0] is back into the attack.
That was another 9-ball over. JSK need 5 off 42 balls. We could most probably be heading into the last over of the game.

Even the free-hit delivery was dropped on the boundary and went for four. Has been that kind of day for the Royals. Guess what, Shamsi has overstepped yet again.
