Kane Williamson presented with the Bank Alfalah trophy. The New Zealand players will now pose for the photographs.

Kane Williamson (New Zealand captain): Yeah, he wasn't feeling great either and came out and played with a lot of freedom. It was an incredible innings. I was curious to know how the pitch will play and it played really well. For Glenn to come out and play that knock was exceptional. Pleasing for us as a team to get across the line. No he was just playing the way he plays, he had one thing in hs mind. I don't think he was willing to run too much, the game was right in the balance and he came out and really grabbed it. The surface has been really competitive, it has been mid 200s or late 200s. To take some wickets in the middle and back end with some brilliance in the field. We saw in the last game that it turned quite viciously in the second innings during the last game. Some good partnerships got us close and then that innings from Philips. We have had a fantastic time here. The support from all the crowd has been amazing. the cricket is aalways tough whenever we play Pakistan and it was great playing here after such a long period of time.

Babar Azam (Pakistan skipper): We executed our plans in the first 30 overs. Got back-to-back wickets but Philips came in and totally changed the complexion of the game. Bowling wasn't up to mark n the last 15 overs. We were 15-20 runs short. When Fakhar and Rizwan was batting, it looked we will score 300 plus. See we were expecting the ball to turn which didn't happen. But the spinners executed their plans but the lastt 10 overs, we weren't upto the mark. When your team mate steps up is a great thing. Good partnership between Fakhar and Rizwan.

Devon Conway is the Player of the Series! Here's what he has to say: The surface is quite batter friendly, enjoyed the time in the middle and putting up partnerships that helped me produce good knocks in the series. (On the hundreds in the series) It's very special, overall winning the series and it's a great feeling. The communication with Kane was just to bat, don't do anything out of the plan and he kept reminding that I needed to stay calm, lot of credit to Kane to keeping me focused in the innings, just tried to bat long and stay in the partnership. Thanks to the support of the crowd.

Glenn Phillips has been adjudged the Player of the Match for his blistering knock! Here's what he has to say: At the end of the day, wasn't feeling great, trying to play aggressive and it paid off. The intent was there, went against it and took the attack to the leg-side and it worked.

Riding on a sensational counter-attacking knock from Glenn Philips, New Zealand won the 3rd and the decisive ODI by 2 wickets (with 11 deliveries t0 spare) wickets to take the series 2-1. It was a tricky run chase for New Zealand on a pitch that looked conducive for the spinners. They needed a decent start which was provided by the opening duo of Devon Conway and Finn Allen.

Both got off to a steady start and found the occasional boundaries which kept the scoreboard ticking along. The 43 run partnership ended in the 9th over when the substitute fielder Tayaab Tahir struck the bulls eye and ran out Allen. It was at a juncture when Allen was just starting to look threatening. Kane Williamson joined Devon Conway in the middle as the duo milked the singles and doubles and found the occasional boundaries.

They shared a 65 runs stand and looked like taking the game away from Pakistan. However the introduction of part-time spinner Salman Agha saw a turn in the tide. He bowled some impressive overs and then managed to prize out Conway to break the game open. Daryl Mitchell joined Williamson at the crease and the duo stitched together another vital stand to close in on Pakistan’s score.

Mitchell took a few chances and succeeded and Babar had to bring back Salman Agha and he didn’t disappoint. He made an immediate impact by removing the dangerous Mitchell. Williamson also departed soon as a lapse in concentration had him run out by a long distance. Michael Bracewell who came out earlier than usual also departed quickly and all of a sudden Pakistan were on top.

Tom Latham couldn’t quite bother the scorers much either and from 160/2, New Zealand were suddenly down to 205/6. The Pakistan bowlers were all over New Zealand at that point but Glenn Philips came in and turned the complexion of the game within a few deliveries. He came out all guns blazing and smashed some lusty blows to take the attack to the Pakistan bowlers.

He kept finding the gaps and struck some monstrous sixes to get their side within touching distance of the finishing line. Mohammad Nawaz then managed to spin one past Mitchell Santer and castle his stumps. There were a few nerves for New Zealand but eventually Philips nudged one towards the square leg region to take New Zealand home with 11 deliveries to spare.

Earlier in the day, it was a good effort from Pakistan to post a competitive score of 380/9 in their allotted 50 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored his 9th ODI century and was well supported by Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman who also chipped in with 77 and 45 respectively. For New Zealand, Tim Southee were the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets while Lockie Ferguson also chipped in with a couple.

Glenn Phillips, take a bow, what a blistering knock to thrash Pakistan to hand them a series defeat in their own backyard! Back of a length into Phillips on the middle and leg, gets forward and clipped it into the on-side for an easy single to seal the deal!

It's all level. Hasnain has to reload that, just one run away from a series victory New Zealand.

This could be too little too late for Pakistan but Wasim will be happy with that wicket. Can Wasim get one more on the final delivery? That will surely set things up for a spicy finish. Ish Sodhi cannot believe that he has chipped that straight to mid-on.
