Pitch Report
It is a bit more bare along the sides but there is a bit of grass around on the good length area. Spin should come into play here. Batting won't be all that easy compared to the other games but application at the crease allows for runs too.

That is all that we have for you from this contest. Pakistan have all but booked a spot in the semi-finals for themselves - we'll have a clearer picture of the two semi-finalists from group A after the conclusion of the upcoming clash between India and Nepal. Click here to follow our coverage of the same, and keep an eye on our other tabs for more! This is Rajarshi Das, signing off on behalf of Bidipto Datta. Ciao!
Nida Dar (Pakistan Women captain): We have had a word among us and the batting unit has stepped up accordingly! Against India we didn't quite execute our plans that well, but things have fallen in place after that. I didn't bowl much because I wanted some of the other players the chance to roll their arms over. That does come in handy as we go along!
Gull Feroza has been adjudged the Player Of The Match! Here's what she has to say: I'm enjoying my game, going for a simple plan. Playing my natural game. I took confidence from the previous knock, and so I did. I tried my level best to do so, it was an easy score to chase, attack when necessary, simple plan.
Esha Rohit (United Arab Emirates Women captain): There is definitely a lot to learn from such a tournament. This is a short tournament, only three games in the group stage. We needed to start better. Today, we wanted at least a run-a-ball, we tried hard, but could not quite. We have to take out chances, no matter what. In matches like these, that is important. But, we should only be going in the correct direction after such a competition!
While the United Arab Emirates had only 103 to defend, they had their chances at the start of the second innings. Gull Feroza offered a thick outside edge, Muneeba Ali skied one off Khushi Sharma, both of which were grassed. The United Arab Emirates simply couldn't catch a break - Hotchandani thought she had her first wicket once she deceived Muneeba Ali, Satish had a bail off with Muneeba struggling to drag her foot back in, but the third umpire ruled in favour of the left-hander.
Muneeba played second fiddle to Gull Feroza as the latter made full use of the powerplay, Anything loose was dispatched to the boundary in ruthless fashion more often than not - Feroza rode her luck as the edges fetched her rewards as well. The United Arab Emirates spinners did pose a threat to both openers at times, beating them with the angle and bounce, but the opening breakthrough just didn't come.
Having rushed to 42 in the powerplay without losing a wicket, Pakistan were well in the driver's seat. The script remained the same thereafter - Feroza proceeded to bring up a half-century of her own, her second in two games. Both Pakistan openers took their time, and stayed till the end as Muneeba sliced one off Indhuja over backward point to fetch the winning run. Presentations to come....
14.1 Indhuja Nandakumar to Muneeba Ali, AND THAT WILL BE IT! FOUR RUNS TO FINISH THE MATCH! Good length ball around off-stump. Muneeba stays back and slashes over backward point off the thick outside half of the bat. The ball then runs away to the boundary with the fielder escorting it there!
The scores are level as we head into the 15th over. The Pakistan openers sure have taken their time, but the win is all that matters.

13.6 Heena Hotchandani to Muneeba Ali, full and slow on off-stump. Muneeba goes outside of the off-stump and tucks it around to square-leg for a single. Scores are level.
13.5 Heena Hotchandani to Gull Feroza, short on off-stump. Patted down to the long-on area off the back foot for a single now.
13.4 Heena Hotchandani to Gull Feroza, good length ball on the pads. Swept hard off the top hand down to deep square-leg's left for a brace.
13.3 Heena Hotchandani to Muneeba Ali, good length ball around off-stump. Muneeba steps out and lofts over the bowler off the toe end of the bat for a single only.
13.2 Heena Hotchandani to Gull Feroza, round the wicket, good length slower ball around off-stump. Feroza goes across and sweeps over the right of mid-wicket for a single.
Oh! Hotchandani pulled away from her bowling stride having seen Muneeba take quite a few steps before the ball was released. Could have effected the run out... maybe she approaches the game in a different way. This was the second time Muneeba was guilty of straying out of her crease before the ball was released...
13.1 Heena Hotchandani to Muneeba Ali, over the wicket, short on off-stump. Muneeba goes inside the line and tucks it around to mid-wicket for a single.
Heena Hotchandai (3-0-18-0) is back for her final over
This sure has been Muneeba's day so far! She skied one the previous over and got away with it. With a left-arm spinner back on, Muneeba might be itching to finish this off with a bang...
