That brings us to the end of coverage of this season of the Big Bash League. It was an absolute delight for us to bring to you all the action from this season's Big Bash League. Well we hoped for a thrillier of a final but not everything that we hope for comes true. Sydney Sixers were simply no match against a quality team like Perth Scorchers. As Sydney Sixers' capatin confessed in his post match interview that Perth Scorchers were hands down the best team right through the season. The Scorchers were reduced to 25/4. The Scorchers looked dead and burried at that stage. But that is when the Scorchers kickstarted their fighback. Skipper Ashton Turner and Laurie Evans hit fifties to propel their side to a respectable 171/6 in 20 overs.

After a good show with the bat, it was time for the bowlers to shine. Perth Scorchers used five bowlers and all the five bowlers picked up at least a wicket. The pick of the bowler was Andrew Tye who rocked the Sydney Sixers' chase with a brilliant spell of 3/15. There was no way Sydney Sixers could recover in the chase and were bowled out on just 92 handing the Scorchers a win by 79 runs, the biggest win in a BBL final.

Ashton Turner (Perth Scorchers Captain): I think any captain who stands up here from all eight teams would talk about the obstacles they've overcome this tournament. We're no different - everyone's made sacrifices from the sponsors to the players. Sydney Sixers have been the best side in the tournament in the last two years - they taught us how to play. You deserve a lot of respect for the way you've played. Well done for your success over the last few years. Big thanks to our fans and our sponsors who've missed out on opportunities back home. Our players, our coaching staff, it's been a long time on the road. Couldn't be prouder. To the families, they've been very supportive. We're very appreciative of everyone who has made the tournament happen.

Perth Scorchers are now the holders of both the Men's and Women's Big Bash League titles. Talk about a dream season and this is right up there for the club! It's been a simply phenomenal achievement!

Peter Hatzoglou: It is amazing to win, The Scorchers are an amazing team. We have won four titles now. Hopefully we win next year too.

Jhye Richardson: Copped one on the nose (laughs). It's always great to win games - special mention to the likes of Kells and Lance. They've been special all year.

16.2 Jhye Richardson to Steve O'Keefe, OUT! PLUMB IN FRONT! GLORY FOR THE PERTH SCORCHERS! They're charging onto the park from the dugout. They've been head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the competition and rightly so, they clinch the title. Inswinging yorker at the stumps, O'Keefe fails to jam his bat down on time and is pinned dead in front. As plumb as they come and with the finger going up, the Scorchers hare into a huddle and celebrate. Richardson cops a blow onto his nose as well in the midst of all the celebrations! He's bleeding but he doesn't care! Perth Scorchers clinch their 4th BBL title - the most by any club in the history of the league!
