Roma Capannelle registering their first win of the tournament with a convincing performance then. A healthy margin of victory for them and Kevin Kekulawala was the difference between the two sides. He was brilliant with the bat, playing that game changing innings and then picked up key wickets with the ball as well. A great all-round show from him and he will be pleased with this performance. Capannelle bowled well and made sure that Lanka were behind in the chase at all times.
Kent Lanka had a slow start to the chase and failed to pick up pace as and when they needed to. Their big guns could not fire a lot either and they eventually fell well short of the target, crashing to another defeat. It was Kevin who stole the game away from them with the bat and it was just too much for their batters to do thereafter.
They will have another opportunity to hunt for their maiden win though as both these sides will take each other on once again in short time. Roma Capannelle will look to keep the momentum going and go on to register another win here. They have done well but will need some of their other batters to step up as well. A good game for them though and the first win will taste good anyway.
This has been Pragadeesh and myself (Rishab) as we take your leave for the moment. More action coming up so do stay tuned to catch it all and more!
Slightly sloppy from Capannelle here in the final over and Karthik is going to go for runs that he probably shouldn't have. Unfortunate to not have picked up a wicket as well. Just not the game for him unfortunately. Too little too late from Lanka though as they will fall short. Roma Capannelle win by 34 runs!
