That's all we have for tonight, folks. This is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Shashwat Kumar. Right then. A campaign that promised so much for RCB has gone down a very familiar road. They had their pieces in the jigsaw with players fulfilling their roles throughout the campaign but alas, it all didn't go according to plan in this knockout encounter. As for KKR, it's been a resurgence and some. A turnaround for the ages, very Mumbai Indians like almost. We've seen what can happen when sides gather up ahead of steam. With just two more wins away from their third IPL title, the men in purple and gold will be hoping to ride on this winning momentum when they face Delhi Capitals in a matter of a couple of days.

Sunil Narine(Player of the Match): Definitely (one of the greatest T20 performances). Any good performance that turns out to be a match-winning one is a good one. I am prepared to be out the first ball. I'm ready to do whatever the team needs me to do. Some days it comes off, some days it doesn't. I enjoy all wickets, but getting Virat Kohli and tying them was my goal. It came off today. I contributed to the team but it was a total team effort. (On the new action) I am getting close - not that close as yet as I was before - and the hard work has paid off. I am pretty calm and cool when it comes to cricket. I like having things in my control. Good performance yet again and hopefully we have a couple of wins left in our bag. Once you are with your players and mates, there's a different understanding. I like funny stuff as well but I think I'm more calm and collected, more to myself kind of guy.

Eoin Morgan: He(Narine) makes it look very easy. On an improved wicket at Sharjah today, he bowled outstandingly well. Collectively, we addressed some areas in the middle, following a powerplay that wasn't exciting and then finished extremely well. Throughout the innings, we continued to take wickets post the six overs at the beginning. That always helps the plans and strategies throughout the game. Really good stuff from the bowlers and in the chase, being in control the whole time doesn't allow you to breathe easily as a side. Another outstanding day for everybody. A quite like it (having three spinners around). It is a huge privilege when there are world-class spinners around. Shakib came in for his third game and did absolutely well along with the other two mystery spinners. They continue to get better and better. When it comes off (with our batting order), it looks quite deep. Onwards and upwards for us. (Advantage to play in Sharjah again) For us, it is a matter of coming back and adjusting and seeing what the wicket does and playing accordingly. We have played some really good cricket and have got a lot of positives to take. We are looking forward to it. I thought we had a chance (when we landed in the UAE), but the cricket we have played with the consistency has surprised everybody. With results not going our way in the first leg, everyone came with a different motivation and a drive to perform. The guys have done their bit and they have another opportunity in a couple of days' time. Narine is a cool customer and is very level-headed. He is a true legend of T20 cricket and we are delighted to have him.

Shubman Gill: Big big win for us. When we came into the second leg, no one gave us a chance. We will hope to carry on the good form. I didn't have the best of the first leg in India but I knew I was batting well. I was looking to spend some time in the middle and that was what the conversation was about. Delhi are an excellent unit and a well balance side as we see it. It's going to be a cracker of the game. This was our third match here. Coming here again day after tomorrow, we know what to expect from this wicket and everyone is accustomed to how it's going to play. The first powerplay was totally against us. The way Sunny(Narine) and Varun bowled was brilliant. Building pressure on them was key for us and that's what our spinners did.

Virat Kohli (the losing captain): The middle overs, where their spinners dominated the game was the difference. They kept picking wickets in the middle overs. We had a great start and that was something we should have built on. It was more about quality bowling rather than poor batting. We have never given up and that has been the hallmark of this season. The one big over (Christian vs Narine) deflated our chances a little bit. We fought till the end and made an amazing game out of it. We left 15 runs out there with the bat and a couple of costly overs took the game away from us. (On Sunil Narine) He has been very consistent over the years and showed why tonight. Their spinners bowled brilliantly together and never let us get away. (His journey as captain) I have tried to create a culture where youngsters can come in and play expressive cricket. I have given my best and I don't know how the response is to that. I have given 120% to the team and I will continue to do so for the team. It is time to regroup, restructure and bring in players who can take this franchise to the next level. I don't see myself playing anywhere else. For me, loyalty matters a lot more than some other things and I will represent this franchise till the last day of the IPL.

KKR won by 4 wickets (with 2 balls remaining).

The spotlight is on Kohli as he ends his IPL tenure as captain without an IPL trophy to his name. The two sides shake hands before leaving the field and it's a dejected-looking RCB side that bows out of the tournament. What a turnaround it has been from KKR. They were down and out, given no chance of making it to the playoffs in this year's edition but they're marching on into the second qualifier. Six wins out of their eight games here and they are just two wins away from their third IPL title.

As for RCB, their wait for the elusive trophy continues. They were second-best tonight, to a spirited KKR side that have found their mojo and how. A smiling Andre Russell is in discussion with his teammate, Sunil Narine, who is cool as a cucumber. You wouldn't know he's put in a match-winning performance with his reactions. He's had his point to prove and he's done it in some style. With the ball, he skittled out RCB's big 3 in a spell that read 4-0-21-4. Not only that, he proved his mettle with the bat as a pinch-hitter, hammering three consecutive sixes off Dan Christian in what proved to be the game-changing moment. No doubt about who is going to be the player of the match in this game.

A few tense moments towards the end as RCB did their best to hold on. However, two experienced heads in the middle, Shakib and Morgan ensured they see their side over the line. Kohli ends his post-match interview, clearing the air around his plans for the future. He might have missed out on the IPL trophy as a skipper but he'll keep hunting for the elusive title in the RCB colors. A disappointing end to a promising season for RCB. "Ee Sala Cup Namde" will be reverberating around the Chinnaswamy next year as well. Hopefully, next year the cup will be yours, RCB fans! For now, stick around for the presentations.

That will be that! KKR with a comeback for the ages in this second leg of the tournament. It's all smiles in the KKR dugout as they go through to the second qualifier. Despair on the RCB faces. Their wait for the elusive IPL title continues.

Virat Kohli's captaincy tenure at RCB ends without an IPL trophy!
