Well, the Royals do fall short in the end by quite some distance but this has been a really valiant effort from them! They came out all guns blazing and managed to put the Kings under some pressure.

Rajasekhar Reddy played an absolute blinder and as long as he was still out there, the Royals were in with a chance. Manikandan gave him good company, although he couldn't really get going from the other end as he picked up singles and twos. By the time , he accelerated , it was a little too late and the game had slipped away from their hands.

The Kings bowlers struggled a lot but they had a massive total in the bank to defend and that aided their cause. Most of their bowlers managed to ensure that there was no over, where 20+ runs were scored and that's exactly how they sealed the game. Aditya More got the solitary wicket of Reddy in the end and that was the only one to fall in the innings.

Overall, this is a huge win for the Kings and they will derive a lot of confidence from this one. The Royals though, will have to go back to the drawing board and improve on their bowling.
