Commentary

And that brings us to the end of what has been a rather one-sided match with LJU just too good in all three departments. LJU who after winning the toss and electing to bat first scored a mammoth 117/4. Shoaib Siddiqui was the star for Ljubljana scoring 31 off 22 balls with the bat and chipping in with some overs. Arshad's quickfire 23 helped them post 117 and after that it was their bowlers who just sealed the deal with some exceptional bowling performances by Tomaz Pazlar who took 2-15 in his 2 overs with Om Raj providing couple of break-throughs at crucial junctures.

As far as Splits were concerned, they just initially conceded way too many with the ball and bowling 27 extras hampered their chances of a win in this match. The batting failed to accelerate and was just looking for opportunities to go big but Alas! they couldn't find any. It was too late and the game was done and dusted by the time Houghton- their best bet with the bat arrived and had to depart in the second ball he faced looking to slog. Jovan Reb's approach proved to be really expensive for SOS at the end with him making a meager 16 facing 28 balls. Can't afford to bat like that if the required rate is 11.4 to start with.

But all in all, it was LJU who aced the game right from ball one until the last bowl of the match was bowled. And as for SOS, they might want to put this game behind them and move ahead.
