Heinrich Klaasen [captain, South Africa]: That was a great performance all round. Some guys stepped up and delivered some great performances. That is the difference in small margins, if you do not do much damage, you can scrape away with a win. Georgie, the two youngsters are special. Georgie changed the game for us and it was some great bowling from them. Davo has been great, it his his home ground and hopefully keeps going. A great start to the series, hopefully we seal it off next time
Mohammed Rizwan [Pakistan captain]: Lots of positives, if you take Miller's and Linde's innings made the difference for us. Miller took the attack to us, we took early wickets but we lost the momentum from Miller's onslaught. South Africa bowled very well, spinners bowled very well, credit to them as they used the conditions better. Big positive, Shaheen bowled well. We fought well, hopefully we bounce back.
George Linde is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Almost a perfect come back for me, sorry about the hat-trick ball, I'm so pleased about what happened there. I've played quite a lot of cricket, had a pretty good season so far. I was trying to be calm, took deep breaths, asked myself what does team needed and delivered it. When he gave it out, I thought it but I told the boys it's probably going down leg. I felt calm today for some reason, missed my bus, came on my own and thought I'll deliver it myself.
10:05 pm local time, 1:35 am IST: South Africa beat Pakistan by 11 runs and take a 1-0 series lead
Pakistan: 172/8 after 20 overs Mohammad Rizwan: 74(62b) | George Linde: 4/21 (4 overs) Saim Ayub: 31(15b) | Kwena Maphaka: 2/39 (4 overs)
A fine defence of the target. Pakistan knew they were pegged back drastically with the loss of wickets and partially due to Mohammad Rizwan's poor knock. Back in the dugout, they will be sitting and contemplating what went wrong for them in this game and improving so that they are able to pull things back in the series come the second game.
Pakistan were jolted early in the chase when Kwena Maphaka managed to dismiss Babar Azam for a four-ball duck. Saim Ayub played a short but fine knock as Tayyab Tahir and Usman Khan failed to go after the bowling as they lost their wickets looking to play big strokes and chip in with the boundaries.
Should Pakistan point their fingers at someone, it could be Mohammad Rizwan. For a major part of his innings, Rizwan was behind the eight ball and played catch-up to add some runs on board. When things got dire, he managed a few hits out of his willow and just about managed to get stuff done. Towards the end, it got tougher for Rizwan and the others in the batting lineup as the pressure kept building on the batter's head and they kept biting the dust.
George Linde ran through the batting attack, while Rizwan looked to hit the ball hard but it ended with despair for him with a catch being taken at short third. All that Haris Rauf and Sufiyan Muqeem could do was swing bat as hard as possible but failed to connect it like a top order batter as they went down in the contest.
South Africa's bowling plans were on point, with Klaasen also changing his bowlers quite nicely. George Linde was the star of the show as he picked up four wickets. Kwena Maphaka picked up two wickets while Ottniel Baartman and Andile Simelane picked up a wicket each. Let us now go down to the presentation ceremony to hear what the award winners have to say.

19.6 Kwena Maphaka to Haris Rauf, SOUTH AFRICA HOLD THEIR NERVE! End of a brilliant game of cricket, Pakistan threatened to come close in patches but South Africa were in control for most part of it as they go 1-0 up in the series with that win. Back of a length outside the off-stump, Rauf slapped it straight to extra-cover for one.
19.5 Kwena Maphaka to Sufiyan Muqeem, full and angled into the batter, Sufiyan heaved it to deep mid-wicket for just one.
19.4 Kwena Maphaka to Sufiyan Muqeem, takes the pace off, follows the batter with a length delivery. Sufiyan comes down the wicket, lofts it down the ground. Mid-on gives the chase and they come back for a brace. That should be the game, Pakistan need 14 off last two unless Maphaka bowls a wide or a no-ball!
19.3 Kwena Maphaka to Sufiyan Muqeem, length delivery outside the off-stump, Sufiyan slashes it to deep backward point. Sweeper gets around to keep them for a couple.
Sufiyan Muqeem, LHB, walks out to the middle and will be on strike to face his first delivery
19.2 Kwena Maphaka to Mohammad Rizwan, OUT! TOP EDGED STRAIGHT UP AND TAKEN! Is that the final nail in the coffin for Pakistan? Short delivery, Rizwan swivels to pull but top edged it straight up. Peter settles under it at short third and takes a simple catch as Rizwan's effort comes to an end.

19.1 Kwena Maphaka to Haris Rauf, length delivery on leg-stump, Rauf chipped it down to long-on and brings Rizwan back on strike.
Kwena Maphaka [3-0-32-1] has the ball in hand and will be bowling the last over
Those last couple of boundaries have stretched the game a bit for Pakistan. They need 19 runs from the last over. What a game we have on our hands, this could go anywhere!

18.6 Ottniel Baartman to Mohammad Rizwan, FOUR MORE! Three boundaries of the over, but Pakistan still need19 of the last over. Short outside the off-stump, Rizwan crunches the pull through to cow corner, no chance for the deep mid-wicket fielder.
18.5 Ottniel Baartman to Mohammad Rizwan, FOUR! Beats the man getting around from long-on, dive from Ferreira goes in vain. Length delivery on the stumps, Rizwan smashes it straight down the ground for another boundary.
18.4 Ottniel Baartman to Mohammad Rizwan, full outside the off-stump, Rizwan reaches and belted it to long-off, it went flat and fielder stops it on the bounce and they don't take the single.
18.3 Ottniel Baartman to Mohammad Rizwan, FOUR! Bounces just inside the ropes, that's a boundary. Short outside the off-stump, Rizwan pulled that one away to cow corner. Rizwan still fighting!
