The start was a problem for Sri Lankan Lions. They lost 3 wickets for only 15 runs in the first two overs. The regular fall of wickets continued, but once the run rate picked up from the third over, it was edge-of-the-seat stuff right till the end with the Lions falling short by only a couple of runs.

Chami Kumara held the innings together nicely for the Lions to keep the ship afloat. But the rest of the batting just got out at the most inopportune moments and handed the initiative to Limassol Zalmi.

The Zalmi did not help themselves with the extras and the misfields but somehow, in some way, managed to chip away with the wickets and made life tougher for the new batters. Eventually, those proved to be decisive.

So, with one more match to go between these very sides today, Sri Lankan Lions stay on 10 points while Limassol Zalmi move up to 6 points.
