Seems like the decision has been taken to call off the game. The wet spots near the bowler's run-up hasn't become better and the officials had no option but to abandon the game. A sad end to the fixture since it hasn't rained for nearly 1.5 hours. So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Aryasekhar Chakraborty. No international games or franchise league fixtures today but there is plenty of ECS action later in the day. Stay tuned for that!

We have some positive news now. The WCPL final presentations has been conducted indoors. Meanwhile, the rain has stopped and the covers maybe removed soon. Hopefully, is there is no more rain, we could get a full 40-over fixture.
There was supposed to be a delay due to the WCPL final round-up. However, it is now due to some heavy rain in Basseterre. Just like how it happened in the game against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders last night
The start of this new CPL season hasn't been great with rain playing spoilsport in a lot of the matches. However, we can be confident about getting a full game tonight. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots earned their first point in three matches on Saturday when their game against Trinbago Knight Riders was washed out. Meanwhile, Guyana Amazon Warriors went down by four wickets in their first fixture against Jamaica Tallawahs.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have struggled in all the departments so far with only the likes of Andre Fletcher and Dwayne Bravo who have put in decent performances. The Patriots' fielding is probably the biggest concern as they have put down many catches at crucial junctures.
Moving onto Guyana Amazon Warriors, the side looked pretty decent against Jamaica Tallawahs although the duo of Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer wlll be expected to bat at a better rate. Romario Shepherd impressed with 36 off 17 balls but he didn't have a great time with the ball. The spin trio of Gudakesh Motie, Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shami proved to be a big positive by returning combined figures of 12-0-56-4 in that first game.
