Commentary

The Sixers winning this not so easily and they had to walk a minefield of wickets to chase a low scoring total here! There was some absolute drama in this one and the bowlers showing no remorse to the batters even when the target was just a mere 150! The bowlers started off well with the first couple of overs as they did not allow the batters to hit the big shots early on but the openers stood ground and they made some runs on the board giving the Sixers a good start in the contest. It was Fawad, who got them a much needed breakthrough but it was still a longshot from winning for the bowlers as the batters kept the scoreboard ticking. The scoreboard wasn't going to tick for long as the bowlers strike yet again with 2 wickets and slow things down for the Sixers after which Henriques and Silk were the batters who made a good partnership to get the team back on track and it looked like the Sixers were going to win this with a one sided margin as there was no scope of a comeback from that point on. But the master of spin bowling comes into the attack and takes a deadly 2 wickets in 2 balls and turns the entire match around leaving Silk as the sole hitter in the team. It was not long after that when Silk departed as well and suddenly it looked like the Strikers were going to win the match with a sensational comeback but Sean Abbott took the driver's seat with the bat like he did with the ball and got them to chase down the total in the last over. Absolute drama in a low scoring game as well! That is what the BBL is all about! The Strikers gave an excellent fight to the Sixers here, but fell just short and with that the Sixers will look to go back to the top of the table.
