MATCH SUMMARY
Coimbra Knights won by 2 runs
Ravi Jakhu 44(16) | Gurjinder Singh 3/26(2) Tushar Shah 30(11) | Tushar Shah 2/23(2)
We have witnessed an absolute thriller with some typical flavor of European Cricket and it is Coimbra Knights who end up holding their nerves to complete a last-ball victory as they do the double over Team Tiger Portugal after beating them comprehensively earlier in the day.
For most part of the chase, it looked like TTP will fall well short as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Gurjinder Singh and Manjit Singh were the chief destroyers taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively and reduced TTP to 47/5 inside 5 overs.
Some small cameos from the likes of Zahid Hasan and Amzad Hossain kept TTP in the game but it was a late order blitz from Tushar Shah which flipped the momentum of the game in the last couple of overs.
In the end, it was not to be enough as Tushar Shah fell off the penultimate delivery and Coimbra took it home from there on.
Earlier in the piece, Coimbra got to 119 on the back of a powerful 16-ball 44 from Ravi Jakhu and valuable contributions from the likes of Satinder Singh and Manjit Singh. For TTP, Tushar Shah and Omar Faruk picked up a couple of wickets each with the ball.
