A chase of the highest order as far as UCCB are concerned! It's never easy chasing down a score as big as 124 but they went about their work without breaking a sweat after momentum was with Transylvania, whose batters put in a superb show to post as much as they did. Things went awry on the field the moment Ramesh Satheesan was given a reprieve, even as Bilal Ahmed was the one who dictated terms.

In what was a classic case of 'see ball, hit ball', he dispatched it to all corners and cleared the fence as many as nine times en route to a destructive half-century. Bilal was operating on sixth gear from the outset and the bowlers just had no clue as to how to stop the carnage of runs. Satheesan chipped in with the odd boundary himself and UCCB were always ahead of the eight-ball.

Despite the dismissal of both batters which left the door ajar for Transylvania, their fielders let them down and didn't look switched on. It cost them dearly as Rajesh Kumar finished what the openers started and wrapped things up in style with a massive six. That said, it was all about Bilal, whose blistering knock of 71 left the bowlers with little to no chance of clawing their way back.

A much-needed win then for UCCB although their chances of qualifying are nil. This will certainly give them a lot of confidence and make them feel good in the dressing room. Not to be for Transylvania as their disappointing season continues.

Oh that's a way to wrap things up alright! A fitting end to a terrific chase by UCCB and they have thoroughly earned this one!
