Aziz bowls the right lines in the final over and as Sparta batters were swinging for the fences, they failed to get bat on the ball and could add just 4 runs to the total in that final over. With that, Veni Vedi Vici make their way into the finals. However, Sparta are not done yet as they get another chance and will face off against Kampong in the second qualifier!

Mohsin brought VVV back into this contest bowling the penultimate over as he did not concede a boundary and towards the end got the key wicket of Musa and broke the partnership which was taking Sparta across the line.

VVV bowlers were giving away a few extras which was helping the two batters out in the middle. The duo made sure that they kept Sparta in the hunt and found the sixes and boundaries in each overs. It was going all well for Sparta until the penultimate over.

Musa had to stay watch full facing against the opening bowlers. He and Asief started to work the ball around and worked on rebuilding the innings for Sparta. Once the opening bowlers were out of the attack, Sparta batters took their chances and accelerated the scoring rate.

Sefat was on fire as he got back-to-back wickets of Dutt and Vikramjit and pushed Sparta completely on the back foot. He managed to get a total of 3 wickets in that second over and Sparta were 10/4. Musa has been the key for Sparta was yet to face a delivery.

Coming into chase 108 runs, Sparta had the worst possible start as their skipper, and one of the main batters Tarr lost his wicket on ball one. Dutt the new man in did find a couple of boundaries but was sent back packing by Sefat in the second over.

What a topsy-turvy innings this has been, Sparta after being in trouble early came back well in this contest and almost reached close to finding a win against VVV. However, a good bit of bowling in the last two overs by Aziz and Mohsin does not allow them to taste victory, Unfortunately, third times not the charm for Sparta.
