Like always it was a pleasure bringing all the live coverage from this encounter. Lots of cricket action to follow all through the day. Switch tabs now to follow the Pakistan vs Nepal game which is currently underway but for now this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my good mate and co-commentator Soumarya Dutta taking your leave.
The match has been abandoned. It was pouring down and unfortunately, the match couldn't be completed. In the couple of overs which was possible in the 2nd innings, Dhamidharan Madanagopal and Ace Pruss struck some lusty blows and took the score to 27/0 before it wasn't possible for the umpires to keep the players in. The two batters tried to get ahead in the DL par but the match had to be called off. Both teams share a point each.
04:20 PM IST: We don't have an official confirmation yet but this match could be done. The umpires tried their best to have the 3 overs which would have garnered a result but it is what it is. We will keep you posted.
This is quite extraordinary. I haven't seen any cricket match going on amidst such heavy rain. A couple of big blows from Priss in that over and as I am typing, the umpires have had enough and now the players are walking off the field. Remember still one more over needs to be bowled to constitute a match.

1.6 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, FOUR!!! Short and at the stumps. He pulled it on top of the bounce and got a boundary through the cow corner.
1.5 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, back of a length and outside off stump. Swing and a miss again from Pruss.
1.4 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, SIX!! BANG!!! It made a cracking sound of the bat of Pruss. It was in the slot and he got hold of it alright. It sailed many a mile into the leg side.
1.3 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, back of a length and once again Pruss looks to swing into the leg side and misses it.
1.3 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, WIDE!! Down the leg side.
1.2 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, back of a length and quick again. He looks to give himself room but Pruss misses it. Dot ball.
1.1 Kashif Shahab to Ace Pruss, short and quick one from Shahab. Beats Pruss for pace.
Kashif Shahab, right-arm medium-fast comes into the attack.
That's the opening over done and dusted and it was allowed to go on by the umpires despite heavy rain. Some lusty blows by Madanogal. 16 runs coming off that over and it's exactly in tune with the asking rate. The umpires will try and finish 3 overs which will constitute a match.
