Central Castries won by 45 runs

A comprehensive victory for the Vieux Fort North Raiders by 45 runs. The Central Castries were never in the run chase and despite losing just wickets, they fell well short of the victory target in the end. It was a baffling approach from the duo of Awene Edward and Dwight Thomas who stayed there for a long time but didn’t bat according to the required rate.

The game was almost done when the Raiders posted 142 on the board but the effort wasn’t quite there and in the end, an easy victory for Vieux Fort North Raiders. Dane Edward who scored a brilliant 70 not long ago didn’t quite get the required boundaries in the first few overs and was eventually dismissed, scoring just 4 off 7 deliveries.

Dwight Thomas who has been a good foil to Dane, struck some impressive shots but couldn’t quite score at a rate which was the order of the hour. After the loss of Kurt Edward, it was Awene Edward and Thomas who almost played out the remainder of the overs without quite going for the big shots which would have gotten them closer to the finish line. Thomas was eventually dismissed in the final over but by then, the match was done and dusted.
